____Narration____

When Morooka was given the mission to watch over a woman, he couldn't help but wonder why that was, after all, he was the third most skilled guardian, so in his mind, it made no sense for someone like him to stay behind just to watch over a woman who could die with a single slap from him.

He did not believe that someone like Yuji Shinakawa could be so dangerous, so he thought the best option should be to leave some capable scouts behind, rather than someone as strong as him.

With a sigh, the guardian turned to Hiyama, who lay unconscious under a tree. Blood was dripping from a wound on his head, indicating that his capture had not been on the best of terms.

Yuji was only 17 years old. For Morooka, it was impossible that at such a young age, he would be able to match someone like himself, one of the best guardians.

It was simply an exaggeration.

!

Moving his eyes to the forest as he heard the sound of footsteps, Morooka immediately pulled out his revolver.

But in any case he had already been assigned to this. The least he could do is to complete his goal successfully.

Emerging from among the trees, a figure revealed itself to Morooka, the guardian immediately identifying him as the one who should be his target.

"You have arrived, as expected, Yuji Shinakawa." Morooka began, soon noticing blood staining parts of the newcomer's clothing. "Looks like you had a good time on the way."

Yuji didn't respond right away, his eyes roaming the surroundings before landing on Hiyama for a few seconds, the sight making him frown. "I wasn't expecting a welcome."

Turning his attention to the guardian, Yuji let his hostility explode from his body, causing Morooka to frown as he felt the intensity of his aura.

He realized something wrong, something very wrong.

"What? Let's calm down, I'm just here to talk." Morooka was quick to try to appease the situation.

No teenager should be able to manifest as much intensity as Yuji had just demonstrated. It was at least 4 times more intense than the murderous intent of Kito Gunji, the first among the guardians, and that was not a good sign for the man.

"Look at me. Do I look like I'm willing to talk?" Taking a step forward, Yuji said with hostility, making the guardian swallow dryly.

"It is related to Yamashita Kazuo and the girls who accompany you."

Yuji stopped his advance as he listened, his eyes narrowing as he stared at the guardian with intensity. "Go on."

With a sigh of relief escaping his lips, Morooka adjusted his tie and looked at Yuji with calmness in his gaze.

In this situation, he had already realized that fighting would not do any good, so he needed to beat the boy in front of him by using his cunning, which, given the circumstances, he believed would not be difficult.

"At this very moment, all the guardians are attacking the dome. The plan, is that everyone present in the arena will be killed by the explosives deployed all over the place." Morooka began, and his words immediately caused Yuji's eyes to widen. "But we know the relationship between you and those girls, so I have a proposal."

"You have potential, kid. A potential never seen before-"

"Get to the point." Yuji interrupted him, Morooka staring at him for a few seconds, before clearing his throat and nodding.

"Come with us without a fight, and I can promise that Yamashita Kazuo, along with the girls, will be safe."

"..."

Yuji remained silent, and Morooka couldn't help but smile internally at this. The information was clear, the boy in front of him had a great affection for the girls who accompanied him and Yamashita Kazuo, who according to the information, was his uncle.

The guardian knew that the boy was intelligent enough to understand the situation. Facing this, there was no way to save everyone, so it was normal that he chose to save those he loved

At least, that is what Morooka believed.

But it was a pity that he didn't know that Yuji's decision had been made before they even started talking.

Boom!

Before Morooka could even react, Yuji swept the distance between the two, the guardian's last sight before the darkness engulfed him being of a shoe that flew toward his face like a bullet.

"In a situation like this, you can in no way leave witnesses. What do you think I am, an idiot?"

Pulling his foot from the earthen wreckage where the guardian's head was buried, Yuji moved toward Hiyama, stooping down beside him and holding his unconscious body gently.

The woman had suffered a concussion, but fortunately, it shouldn't be something serious as long as she received medical help. So Yuji quickly picked her up on his lap, holding her close to his chest as he began to run toward the dome.

The guardian's words had not made much of an impact on him. He trusted the power of the bodyguards, and besides, he didn't believe that Katahara could let something like this happen under his nose so easily. At least, most of the bombs should have been defused by this point.

The only thing that concerned him right now was the safety of his uncle and the girls. Even if the bodyguards could contain the invasion, they couldn't protect everyone, so he wanted to get to the arena as quickly as possible.

For now, he was holding back, but if another person close to him got hurt, he would not hesitate to start slaughtering all the guardians on the island.
