Path to Strength

This is the first book I am posting on this platform, so I ask for patience. My native language is not English, and I am not ashamed to say that I am using the so-called "Best Translator in the World" to help me with this work (DeepL translator). I was really trying to find fanfics that take place in the worlds of Baki, Kengan Ashura or the like, and although I found them, I only came across ones where the character gets supernatural powers that put him above any fighter from these worlds, and that frustrated me. A man needs to see two people fighting using their fists entirely, rather than creating interdimensional portals or something of that sort. So don't expect these kinds of powers here, because here there will just be the old way of solving problems. ---------------------------------------------------- It was a normal day for Yuji, going to school, then to the gym he was attending and finally home. A monotonous, but pleasant routine. There was no cause for pride, much less shame, so for the teenager that was enough. As always, everything was going as it should. That was until the moment when, looking in the mirror, the boy's whole perspective seemed to change. Facing someone who looked like him, but at the same time, was not him, Yuji sees himself in a similar world, but which is certainly not his. Crossover world of animes, including Tokyo Revengers, Baki, Kengan Ashura, Holyland, Hajime no Ippo and others that can easily be included in FF if readers have ideas.

____Yuji Pov____

After the quick contest against Raian, the girls and I were in one of the rest rooms while we waited for the next fight that would take place in the arena. Elena and Kou seemed quite upset by Raian's appearance, so I ended up choosing not to watch the fight in the arena and stayed with them.

Raian ended up annoying me a lot. His personality was a piece of garbage, and together with the fact that he tried to kill my master, only served to put him at the top of the list of people I wanted to kill.

In our brief combat, I tried to show how superior I was to Kure. While he was superior to me in physical strength and we were equal in durability, his aggressive approach to his fighting style only made him easy to take down, and I showed this by manipulating his power flow, treating him like a child. This served him well in angering him, which gave me an opening to strike at his heart, which I did, only to be interrupted by the other members of his clan.

"I'm sorry about him, girls. Raian is a complete idiot, I will ask Grandpa to keep him away from you."

I heard Karura say, turning to see her comforting Elena and Kou along with Senju. The three girls had gotten along well with her, as although sassy and rather clueless, Karura was someone kind and friendly, making her someone pleasant to have around. I was happy to see them getting along so well, because even though I had been forced in the last year and a half to use my lip in situations where I couldn't use my strength, I was still pretty bad at dealing with other people's feelings.

Sure, if they wanted a hug, I wouldn't deny them, but that was only if they addressed me directly, since I wasn't proficient at reading the situation for when that kind of intimacy was necessary.

'Stopping to think about it, this occurs with most fighters...' I thought as I sighed. At least I could identify feelings and wasn't dense like a rock, I just had trouble comforting people.

[Enjoying the excitement of the last fight, let's go to the next one!]

I turned to the screen on the wall, my eyes narrowing as the announcer began to introduce the fighters. This would be Kuroki's fight against Rihito, a fight that despite being rather one-sided, I needed to watch it carefully. As much as I believed Saw Paing was strong, I was sure that would not lose to him, so I would be facing Gensai soon.

Even minimal information would be necessary if I wanted to beat a monster like him.

As the fight was about to start, I felt the girls sit down next to me, this made me crack a slight smile, before putting a neutral expression on my face.

.

____Narration____

As expected, the outcome of the fight was unchanged. During the fight, Kuroki demonstrated superiority at all times, even when he decided to stay on the defensive against Lihito. The young fighter, seeing that his blows were connecting, was filled with hope that he would win, any chance he had being destroyed quickly when Kuroki showed why he was known as the "Devil's Spear", piercing his chest and wrist with his fingers with frightening ease.

Lihito, although extremely injured, mustered his last strength in an attempt to turn the game around, but ended up knocked out with a powerful punch to the face.

The fight, although quick and simple, with Lihito being overpowered and Kuroki holding back since the situation didn't require him to use his full strength, Yuji still paid attention to a few details.

He had to praise Lihito for his skill, but it was clear from the beginning the winner of the fight. Kuroki, with this quick fight, showed why he was the most powerful figure among all the fighters. His karate was perfect, and he didn't waste moves to attack or defend.

Yuji could not see any holes in the man's posture, and this served to make him quite worried, since he was able to see mistakes even in Kanoh. Kuroki seemed to be invincible, but Yuji refused to believe this. As strong as he was, the assassin was still a human, and a human was bound to fail, no matter how small that failure might be.

He just needed to be ready for when it happened.

"..." Yuji scratched his chin, his eyes landing on the screen where the next fight was announced, before he turned to his hands.

The next fight would be Setsuna's, and Yuji had no interest in watching them . Setsuna was predictable, and he would learn nothing from him. It would just be a waste of time, and he had other things to do.

When Yuji stood up, the girls, who until then had been chatting, turned to him with interest.

The boy, who was staring at his hands with an unreadable look, moved until he was to the front of the room's wall, his eyes moving to the concrete structure for a few seconds as he flexed his fingers. The girls seeing this, were silent as they watched him with curiosity in their features.

Karura, who was staring at the boy's back, widened her eyes when he pulled her arm back, his hand open like claws.

"!"

Yuji threw his arm forward in one swift motion, the concrete surface tearing as his fingers made contact with the wall, cut marks being left behind where his fingers had struck.

"Uhm..." Yuji muttered, his eyes moving to his hand to see the skin of his torn fingers, blood dripping and staining the floor. "My fingers are not as strengthened as his."

Karura had her eyes wide in disbelief as she looked at Yuji.

'Did he copy Lihito's technique?' She questioned in her mind.

[Ding! Congratulations, you have learned [Razor's Edge]!]

Well, I finally finished high school a few weeks ago and was ready to get back to writing, but a creative block and some other problems not worth mentioning made me not continue with the story for a while (I also loafed for a few days, so forgive me). But now, I am finally back, and I will do my best to keep up at least 3 chapters a week. (Yes, 3. Blame my mind)
