I was confused. I was happy. Elated. Screaming for joy. Mind-blown. High up on cloud nine.

But I didn't know how to put these emotions into words so I gaped like the idiot I was. Risha leaned back and cleared her throat.

"You should probably just ignore that. I missed my period for a few days, I should've gone to replace my implant a week ago and i-I'm probably just uh...uh overreacting" there was pain in her eyes and I still couldn't say a word. My lips parted and closed more than a few times.

Seeing her sad hurt me.
