The battle has only just begun between Mandolin and the powers that made him. 71 RUTH TEARS

Ruth's eyes were widening in shock that Pastor Dave didn't see anything, not even the changing colors of the ring. She exclaimed and looked restless.

"Please stand still and stop walking around, let me try to pull it off your finger—" He tried but he couldn't. He looked into Ruth's eyes, "How did you put this in—"

"I never did, it forced itself in—"

"What do you mean it forces itself in, how can that happen? It forces its way in, and it is not coming out?"

Ruth nodded and it became obvious to Pastor Dave that there was something special about the ring, "how can we get it out?"

"I don't know, it was not supposed to be trapped in my finger—" Ruth screamed.

"Let's go to the manufacturer or where you bought it from and—"

"I did not buy it, it was given to me, Dave—"

"Who gave it to you?"

Ruth kept quiet, she could not say anything.

"Who gave it to you, so we can return it—" he repeated.
