Chapter 380: Every moment that we're apart

Elize tip-toed out her room, careful not to make any noise. She looked around the dark corridor to see if there were any movements. Seeing that there were none, she let out a sigh of relief, straightening her bent back happily. The mansion was silent, save for her loud thudding heartbeat. 

It seemed like the girls had already gotten the message that she had sent through Evanora. That meant that it was just the two of them at home at the moment, Elize thought, turning to the room at the end of the corridor. A heavy feeling settled over her heart as she walked towards it. 

She knew that she couldn't let him interfere in her fate anymore. He had done that once, and the both of them had to pay a huge price for it. She was not willing to play with his life anymore. This time, she was going to protect him with everything she had, even if that was the last thing that she would be doing in this life.
