Zack's POV

"Brother, think again," Jin said, looking towards the portal warily, "You know nothing about the fae and their manners. What if something happens to you-"

"Stop fussing like a mother hen Jin," Zack said, cutting his cousin off. He had a warm smile on his face as he regarded Jin. Patting him on his back, he continued, "Promise to take care of the pack for me."

Though Zack was feeling a bit nervous, he tried his best not to show. He was the Alpha who was supposed to have everything under control. He wasn't allowed to feel doubtful or falter in his steps. He had to be all of that for his pack. But now that she was gone Zack didn't feel so sure of himself. He wasn't able to concentrate on anything anymore.
