178 Chapter 178: Saving an elf

As midnight approached, nothing changed in Milethnor. An eerie silence prevailed in the village that was bound by a dark spell. There was no wind, but the scent of the Spet trees filled the area. Though only a few in number, the trees were only found in Milethnor, known for its rosy scent that overrode every other smell than that of blood. 

Somewhere towards the north of the place, lay a vast forest, that to its west was connected to the dark forest. High walls once separated the village from the forest. But today, the wall appeared like it was cleaved from the middle. Only a few fragments of the structure remained on two sides, like a gate. It weakly supported itself against the White Yucca trees that grew throughout the kingdom and the dark forest in large numbers.
