When Elize woke up, the sun had already set. She slowly opened her eyes to the dimly lit room. She blinked twice in confusion. There was not a thing familiar about the place. Elize rose from the bed cautiously. Where had she ended up now? She wondered. It was a simple room with a large bed and a lone table on one side. At least that's all she could see.
Elize slipped off the bed, her bare feet landing on a plush carpet. The only source of light in the room was a fireplace at the foot of the bed. She walked towards it in confusion. There weren't any logs in it. A slight smell of gas was coming from it. Was that a mechanical fireplace? She wondered. Finding a knob on its side, she turned it up, blasting the fire to its maximum. Elize hissed, jumping back in surprise. The sudden heat had startled her. It was her first time seeing such a thing.
"Where am I?" She asked aloud, looking around the room.
