Chapter 40: Bradley

I raced to The Oak as fast as I could. I had gotten Morgan's text in the middle of beating the snot out of a guy who was rumored to have worked with The Bitter Son in the past. But, when I saw the text message, I dropped everything and hopped on my bike.

I was maybe seven minutes out now and my heart was racing. Morgan had said that the guy was there in the restaurant. And with River no f*cking less. I wanted to gouge his eyes out.

Coming after us was one thing, but going after River was a step too far. It was too many steps too far. He was officially in the danger zone.

I pulled up to the restaurant's back parking lot and nearly dropped my bike scrambling to get off of it.

I shot Morgan a text and told him I was here. I didn't want to just barge in, we needed a game plan.

He texted me back and told me to come in and ask for Morgan's party, then sent a second text telling me to act normal.
