The four brothers left the main hall of the Royal Palace, and when they reached the entrance, they saw a familiar figure—Varian.
Mo Fei nodded to the other three and then walked over to him alone.
Aidan (Prince of Altland), "Varian—thank the Pantheon, you're safe. I heard about the fall of Stormwind City and was quite worried about you. And as for King Llane, please accept my condolences."
Varian nodded, his tone tinged with sorrow, "You too. I've also heard about the death of King Aidan in battle."
Varian's voice reflected a deep sense of shared understanding. In his eyes, Mo Fei was probably the one person he had the most in common with, not only as sworn brothers but also having lost their fathers on the same day, truly a case of shared sorrow.
Mo Fei felt ashame in his heart. Although he didn't contribute much to Aidan's death, he was still one of the conspirators. This "filial piety" was not at all the same thing as with Varian.
