Run Part 3

Hilda sat her cup of tea down on her table as the large man walked towards her slowly, still running his machete against the wall. "Oh my, it seems you lack the ability to speak." Hilda sighed. "How very droll."

The large man continued towards her and as he reached her he raised his machete to attack. He swung his arm downwards towards Hilda but her and her table disappeared from his sight and his blade connected with nothing at all.

"Oh, dear you haven't a chance." Hilda laughed to herself. She had reappeared behind him. "Sadly, you are no more than a mindless beast, completely useless to my lady. I came here to judge your worth, and I have found it lacking."

The large man charged towards her again machete raised, but again as he swung, she vanished and again reappeared behind him. "Fine, have your fun, I have no use for you." She said as she vanished from sight. The door to Drew's room reopened and the large man began to walk towards the opening, grinding his knife along the wall again as he went.

A voice could be heard from down the corridor. "Drew!" Sam yelled. "I am coming!" Her flashlight could be seen frantically moving as she ran as fast as she could down the hall. The ghost stopped in his tracks as he heard Sam's voice and turned to face her. He started charging towards her with his machete raised above his head. His height caused the machete to cut into the ceiling, Sam saw him running towards her, ripping the ceiling as he ran, old tiles and dust falling around him.

She reached into her pocket and grabbed the fist full of salt that Terry had given her. As the ghost approached, she prepared to toss it at him and continued to run forward towards Drew. As they met in the hall, the ghost slammed his machete down at Sam, but she anticipated it and jumped to the side, slamming herself into the wall. As she was flying midair, she tossed the salt at her attacker. The same reaction happened again, and the ghost vanished from sight once more.

She picked herself up off of the floor, in pain from her impact with the wall. "That's going to leave a mark." She said as she grabbed her ribs and rubbed them. She shined her light ahead of her and the patch was filled with debris. "Drew!" She yelled. "Are you this way Drew?!"

Drew heard her yells from within his room. "I am here!" He yelled in response.

Sam heard him and found the door to his room with her light.

"That's right Sam!" Drew said. "This room!"

Sam carefully made her way through the broken tiles and rusted metal. As she did, she picked up her radio to inform Terry. "I found him Terry!" She said. She waited for a response and continued on her journey. She became worried when no response was heard.

"Terry?!" She radioed again.

"Terry!" Drew radioed as well.

"Shit Drew!" Sam yelled as she finally made it into the room where Drew was located. "Now Terry is fucking missing!"

"Alex come in!" Drew said on the radio.

"Yes boss?!" Alex responded. "I have been searching like you said, I have a few options, but nothing concrete."

"Don't worry about that now!" Drew replied. "Tell me can you see Terry's camera?"

Alex turned her attention back to the monitor in the van, the screen that was once filled with many cameras had gone dark. "I have no footage." Alex replied. "I am blind here, none of the Cameras are working!"

"Damn it!" Drew said. "We must have not put fresh batteries in them!"

"Or it's the damn machete wielding ghost!" Sam radioed. "Terry answer us right now! You are scaring me!"

"I'm coming in guys!" Alex said over the air. "You need an extra set of eyes and hands to help you find Terry! So, don't fight me on this!"

"We are locked in!" Drew replied. "You couldn't get in if you wanted to."

Alex opened the Van door and looked towards the opening of the hospital. "The door is open Drew." She said. "I am coming in!"

"Do not come inside!" Sam yelled into her walkie. "It is far too dangerous!"

Alex grabbed a flashlight off the wall of the van and headed inside the hospital. As she entered the doors slammed behind her. She tugged on them to no avail, she was now trapped as well. "Looks like I am trapped now too." Alex radioed.

"You came inside?!" Drew said. "Sam just told you not to do that!"

"Don't worry guys, I can handle myself." Alex said, assuming her agent training had prepared her for anything. She made her way deeper into the hospital and found the main intake where the path branched into two. "Which way do I go?"

"Terry went to the right in the hallway we were in." Sam explained over the airwaves. "If I remember correctly that should be the right path from intake as well. Search from him on the right path but be careful!"

"We are never going to hear the end of it, if she gets herself killed on her first show." Drew sighed to Sam. "They may even cancel the show."

"Don't worry about the damn show right now!" Sam snapped. "We have to find Terry. Now lean on my shoulder we are going to get out of this hellish room. Preferably before that ghost comes back. I don't have any more salt to hit him with."

"Really salt worked on him?" Drew asked as he placed her arm around Sam's shoulder. "What is he some sort of snail or slug?"

"I don't question things that work Drew," Sam said, "I just roll with it." The two of them slowly made their way out of the room.

Alex was exploring the assigned hallway and yelling out to Terry. "Terry! Answer me!" It did not take long before she began hearing the sound that had plagued the others all night. The sound of a machete grinding along the wall, getting louder and louder as it got closer. "What in the hell is that god forsaken noise?" She said to herself.

Oh no! Terry is missing again! #Don'tKillTerry!!!! And now the special agent Alex, is jumping into her first ghost hunt! I hope it goes well for her and that nothing horrible and unspeakable happens...
