"I've gotta go catch myself a Tin man."

"Tin- what?"

"Dude we've been together for three days." Vera whined

"Are you NOT enjoying my company?" Rin rolled his eyes as he walked next to the girl

"No not at all"

"I dropped my hoes for you!" He dramatically placed a hand on his chest.

"What hoes you were a lonely bitch?" She turned to him with a genuinely confused face. He rolled his eyes as they continued walking.

"Aren't I your target?" She asked and he shook his head.

"Nah, I just thought I might as well take your badge since you were there. But then I felt pity for you so I didn't" he placed his fingers behind his head.

"Pity? You asked to be my friend" she teased and he looked away from her cursing under his breath.

"Anyways, I'm gonna dash I have a tin man to attack" she smirked determined and ran off leaving a dumbfounded Rin.

"Tin man?.." he muttered

Hisoka and Gitarakuru were both together at dawn. Both unaware of the two children who had been tailing them for the past hour or so.

Vera had noticed Gon was here as well but kept quiet about it.

Hisoka and Gitarakuru exchanged some words before the tin man took out his pins.

The tin turned into a whole asss SNACC. Long black hair, big black eyes, and pale skin.

'Wow' she thought holding in a squeal to not give away her position.

He began digging a whole 'NO!' She thought. Her chances would be ruined if he stayed in the whole the entire time.

Her mind went blank trying to think of what to do. She growled for her ignorance and just thought 'fuck it'

She dashed forwards and tried to attack by sending a kick to his face. He had already been prepared since she had got to the scene.

"So your after me then" he said in a nonchalant voice dodging her attack.

He attacked again by sending a punch to his stomach which he again dodged.

"Hey there kitten~" Hisoka cooed not helping her at all.

The tin man, having enough, sent a kick to her face sending her flying backwards into a tree.

Gon, watching intently, almost shrieked. He held it back trying not to give away his spot. But he was shaking due to worrying for his friend. Although, If she got stuck in a bad place he would for sure be prepared to immediately throw his life away just for her.

Due to her now high stamina, thanks to rin🙄🙄, she quickly got up standing in her fighting form, only wincing from the pain.

"Your no match for me, I could just easily kill you." He warned but hisoka then stood up.

"I wouldn't advise that. She is a precious toy she is, and I will not let you proceed in killing her." Hisoka shuffled his cards with a straight face.

While they were having their little diolague, she was grabbing something out of her bag to help her. She fumbled until her hand landed on the right thing and she clutched the small piece in her hand.

After the dialogue their attention turned back to her.

"Fine I won't kill her, but I will numb her so she can't ruin my slumber" he threatened but his voice was still monotone. "Now, y'all are DEFINITELY smashing" she said hiding her scared tone. His head then turned towards her

She shrieked and quickly threw a small sticky dagger at his badge. It was so small he didn't even know she threw it, but at the same time he threw one of his pins that she barely dodged. It touched the cut she had in her right abdomen from the previous stage temporarily immobilizing her.

She paused before falling to the ground with a loud 'thud'.

Gon looked at her worriedly but didn't move whatsoever.

"I'm going to sleep until the exam is over. Notify me" he said as he began digging at inhuman speed.

Quickly, with her last bit of strength, Vera clutched the string that was attached to her dagger bringing out his badge he didn't even notice was now gone.

She laid there motionless still clutching onto the badge numbered '297' and closed her eyes guessing she might as well sleep.

Gon jumped out of his spot quickly as hisoka had left and made his way towards his girl—friend :) friend that is girl. He looked her over worriedly, but quickly calmed down realizing she was sleeping with minor injuries.

He picked her up with ease and set her securely upon a high tree so she wouldn't be noticed and no one would be able to hurt or see her.

Then he quickly dashed towards hisoka trying his best not to loose his prey.

"Vera."

"Veraaaaa"

"VERA" a voice yelled waking her up from her slumber.

"Now who the fuck thought it was a good idea to wake me up?" She groaned and looked around realizing she was in a tree. Then in front of her was a boy, Rin. He was handing by his legs from the branch she was set upon.

"The exam is about to end in like-" he checked his Gucci🤑🤑 watch. "Twenty minutes"

She sighed looking at her hand which still held the badge and smiled.

"Did you get tin man's badge?" He asked with slight amusement and she smiled.

"You bet!" She smiled and he gave her a nod of approval before spinning himself and landing on he branch.

"So Rin, since we're now, self-declared, friends. What's your past like?"

"Past?" He turned towards her confused.

"Hm.. your- parents? what are they like?" She tilted her head and he sat on the branch.

"Parents? Don't have em" he stated nonchalantly looking at her with his big yellow eyes.

She paused "who takes care of you-?" She asked a follow up question

"Me?" He stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

She sighed realizing this dummy was too dense to get her questions "okay." She left it at that as a comfortable silence crept over them.

She pulled down her mask giving her an easier air way. Rin, who had already known about this, didn't even flinch but just glanced at her.

"Hey Vera." He started, taking her attention.

"Yea Rin?" She looked down at him.

"You should keep your mask off. You look better that way" he said with a smile and she looked at him with a straight face. "N-Not that you didn't look okay before- I mean- like- not that I even think you look okay-" he rambled blushing and waving his hands but she cut him off.

"Thanks." She said was all and he stopped. He looked at her taking in her features. Her closed eyes that held a beautiful color, her black hair with blonde streaks in the front of it shaping her dimond like face. Her pale skin glowing against the sunrise.

"You just gonna stare at me? Idiot" she opened one eye mocking him.

"Hey don't mock me!" He yelled.
