A galaxy was a whole region of space, including every inhospitable, uninhabitable, abandoned, desolate, forbidden, ruinous, and chaotic location within. It was a whole region with natural borders etched within the void. 

When gazing upon a galaxy, viewing the starry skies was enough. When gazing upon a Galactic Zone, the majesty was indescribably phenomenal. The Azure-Prime Galactic Zone was a prime example of this. 

There were no starfields.
