Paragon Of Death

This is the story of a youth who attained peak strength in all three cultivation pathways: soul, energy, and body, due to a one-of-a-kind event that gave him the talent to cultivate them when he was twenty years old.   All of this occurred in a universe ruled by God. But after that unique event, he traveled to another universe with his own harem.   But does everything proceed as planned?   This is the tale of a transmigrated youth who wanted power. Not for godhood nor immortality.   He'd do all in his power to become Death itself!   === Notice: This is the first novel of mine, the second one is [Rise Of The Nefarious Devil]. The maim point for these is that this novel would be around seeking questions about what death is, while the other novel about what good and evil is.

38- Meeting The Alchemists (II)

-

An elder smiled faintly upon seeing Adel's gaze on the young woman.

Despite the fact that the elder was a well-known womanizer, even among lower-status alchemists, he was aware of his limitations.

He wouldn't go after the young woman since she appeared to be of higher status and was protected by elders with the same status as he was.

But besides his cultivation, which appeared to be in the early stages of the third phase in the energy cultivation system, he appeared fairly old.

It meant that he used pills that consumed his lifespan in order to increase his stamina in bed.

He wore an alchemist's robe with two stars engraved on it, and had short blue hair that made him special from the other senios as if... even his outside looks meant that he was a playboy.

-

The other elders laughed at the womanizer senior, well aware of the type of person he was: a philanderer.

Despite him being a womanizer who frequented brothels and even flirted with young alchemist females, when it came to alchemy, he would become very serious, leaving others baffled at how quickly his two sides of debauchery and seriousness shifted.

They would have long kicked him out for being so disreputable with the ladies that came to the Alchemist's alliance if it hadn't been for him being a 2-star alchemist. After all, even though 2-star alchemists weren't rare, they wouldn't throw an alchemist of such grade for such a reason.

While this is unimportant to them, what he does with those women has ruined their image as both his elders and peers.

But what transpired next stunned Adel. They commenced by exchanging pleasantries with the young lady, after she seemed to have finished concocting the pill, and completely disregarded Adel.

He remained motionless the entire time they shared platitudes.

Adel coughed loudly when he realized they weren't going to talk to him anytime soon, drawing attention to himself by further making the atmosphere awkward.

An elder turned to Adel, nervously laughing, and then said: "Alchemist Alder, was it? Please come forth if you want to exchange your alchemical knowledge. I apologize deeply for our negligence in our treatment. She, as you can see,..." The elder gestured with his finger to the young lady, then continued: "...has accomplished such incredible feats at such a young age. As a result, we couldn't help but pay attention to her.

Adel was taken aback by how sincere his apology was, yet he could only sigh... 'It seems like I'm speaking with an old fox here. 'Adel snorted inwardly.

In actuality, the elder intended to throw Adel in a corner and silence him, without giving him a chance to retaliate.

Hence, even if he wanted to talk, he couldn't because of the elderly man's sincere apologies.

But was Adel that simple to surrender? He just reverted to his expressionless look as he said:

"Why have you brought me here if you think she is more qualified for the alchemy trade than I am? I do indeed think that she has an incredible talent for someone her age. But that doesn't mean I get to stay here, standing! Okay, so this is what the Alchemy Alliance embodies? So, having a 1-star emblem is just words. " He then tossed the symbol to the ground, as if he were leaving off.

Adel wasn't foolish, and he didn't act out of rage. This was a vital part of his plan to establish his dominance.

If it had been successful, it would have left a bigger impression on their minds about him. If it fails, Adel could always use the [Misinterpretation] spell, leave, revert to his former look, and pursue another profession.

After all, he was just making his first appearance on this continent. He had no idea if stronger monsters existed outside of it. But the abrupt arrival of the fourth step beast confirmed his doubts.

He was still planning on using several identities to get entry to the Blacksmithery Alliance, the Array Alliance, and the Formations Alliance. That is, if they really existed.

And once his several identities have been established, it would be rather simple to create a huge fictitious background to which all of his aliases belong, making even the king frightened when faced with them.

He knew he wouldn't pay attention about what he was doing now in the future, but he didn't care. If he and Katrina were to return to this plane in the future, it would be a safe refuge for them.

-

The elder and everyone were stunned at how Adel straightaway ignored the apologies and even insulted them. Rage built up in their hearts, but they suppressed it.

They were no fools. Would he talk like that if he didn't have such a high status backing him? Only idiots would do that.

They could only swallow their humiliation and go on... for the time being.

When he leaves, then... hehehe... - This was the thought of most of the elders present as they thought they were being smart.

Was this, however, the case? Definitely not! Adel knew that they wouldn't want to harm him in the Alchemist Alliance because of his background, but they'd go after him as soon as he left...

Adel had no idea what they were thinking. Even if he did know, he would just say, "Good luck."

What a joke! They would catch him while he was casting the [Misinterpretation] spell when he was leaving?

Upon his breakthrough, he could use it a lot more, while only needing to sleep to recover his mental energy.

So, for the time being, sleep wasn't completely out of the question. He didn't mind anyway.

As for the elders catching him, it was impossible. Of course, unless he shows up and doesn't utilize the [Misinterpretation] spell, or unless they have a higher soul energy to detect him, which is nearly impossible because sixth step cultivators wouldn't show up unless... he was in the calamity.

They sighed helplessly as an elder rose to his feet, grabbed the thrown emblem, and went in a hurry to prevent Adel from leaving.

-

Meanwhile, Adel was moving slowly, making it apparent that he was waiting for them to either leave him go, face his background's rage, or compensate him for their misdeeds...
