13 Chapter -12- [The grind never stops-3]

The soldiers warned the civilians that the monsters might come back and moved them away from the scene. Even though the people had experienced a fantastic life in another world for ten years, after all their experiences had been reset, they left the place quietly, without being cocky in front of the rifles.

"Fuuh. I'm very lucky to meet you again in such a short time like this."

The second time he was confronted by the same high-ranking female soldier. Knowing that they were going to ask him to join the military, he did not pay any attention to them and started to dismember the high level monsters with his chaos blade. He started collecting hides, bones and magic stones with the help of Erta. But the female soldier kept talking to herself.

"I've been looking for you everywhere. Seriously, why did you suddenly disappear when someone was trying to talk to you?"

"..."

"If I wasn't wearing a military uniform I wouldn't have been treated this way. I'm really disappointed. Maybe I should just let it all go."

"Lieutenant. I don't think Crimson Bolt is listening to you right now."

Il Han was effectively cutting through wolf-type monsters with his blade. Although the skin of wolves and wild dogs was tough, his sword cut through it like a breakfast knife through butter. Except for the female soldier who was talking to herself, all the soldiers were watching his technique with admiration and attention, hoping that they too might learn something.

"Will you please listen when someone is talking to you?"

"I'm listening right now and instead of saying what you want from me, you've been babbling for 10 minutes," Il Han replied.

"Even if you don't say what you want, I know what you want from me. I'm not joining the military. But if you're interested, I can sell you the monsters I hunt within the country.."

"D-Do you have some negative feelings towards the army or the country?"

"I don't have any bad feelings or thoughts towards the country. If I had, I wouldn't be helping people like this. Monsters are attacking people while we are here talking unnecessarily. So without wasting any more time, can you tell me if you want to buy the monster bodies? I can dismember them for you. Otherwise, I will leave them to you like this."

Although Il Han didn't need money, in the early stages of this cataclysm, people needed all kinds of monster body parts. He wanted to give them a chance to survive. Even if he was going to leave the monsters to them, he wanted to dismember this material for them so that they would not waste it in clumsy ways.

The Lieutenant, who had not heard the second half of his speech, after he had said firmly that he would not join the military, was surprised when she heard Il Han's offer for the second time.

And when Il Han, seeing that the woman did not respond, began to leave, gathering the body parts he would take with him in the hides of the high-level monsters, the female lieutenant immediately reacted and exclaimed:

"I'll take it! Ahem... I mean, we'll take it as military!"

"Very well. Then I'll ask you to transfer the dismemberment money to a special account until I've dismembered all the monsters."

"Can we have the magic stones too, if possible?"

"Unfortunately.. I can't sell them."

"Of course! ..Tch."

As Il Han began to dismember the other dog monsters, he negotiated with the Lieutenant. The lieutenant said that she did not have the authority to do so and that she should contact her superiors. Il Han said she had time until he had dismantled all the monsters and she immediately contacted her superiors. Her superiors knew that in order to fight the monsters they had to have equipment made from the monsters' material, so they immediately accepted Il Han's offer.

However, monsters were appearing all over the world, not just in Korea. Of course, the powerful ones like the one Il Han killed had not yet arrived. But others as powerful as the Wandering Dogs were beginning to appear.

K2, K3 and the grenades of the soldiers in the strong Korean army could deal with these monsters. So why did they immediately agree when Il Han said he would sell them? It was because of the condition of the bodies of the monsters Il Han killed (A/N: K2 and K3 are Korean tanks.)

Soldiers in the army would shoot when they saw the monsters. Even soldiers who were confident enough in their own physical abilities opened fire. The Wandering Dogs had incredibly thick skin and the army needed dozens of bullets and sometimes grenades to kill them easily. As a result, the corpses of the monsters were too horrible to look at.

The skin would be so damaged and the bones so crumbled that they would be considered trash. As a result, they couldn't make equipment from those body parts, although they could be used for research.

But the corpses of the Wandering Dogs Il Han hunted were in perfect condition. Even the other worlders who saw how Il Han could kill them instantly with minimal damage would tip their hats to him and call him the best hunter.

Even taking into account the value of dismantling, it was a good deal for them. Everyone seemed speechless. The dismantling of untouched monster corpses, skin, bone, and flesh, as if it had always been so, had been supervised by her superiors, no matter how bad the camera on Han Yeo Rang's phone was.

'Lieutenant Han, don't let him go. Use whatever means necessary, except by force, to bring him into the army!'

"But he told me he'd never join the military."

'You have to get that man here, even if you have to use 'the seduction trap'. If we can use him. He'll be very useful to us with his skills.'

Hearing for the first time since she was born that the 'seduction trap' had been used in a real situation, her fellow soldiers and the 'beautiful' lieutenant were at a loss. Should she leave the army after giving her superiors a good beating, or should she take him to an ophthalmologist and have his eyes checked?

"..I will try to convince him."

In the end, she agreed to do it for the sake of what little patriotism she had left in her. When Il Han had finished with the dogs and was about to start tearing the wolves apart, he spoke.

"Tell your superior that I will find all the women in his family and tell them what he has just said. Don't waste my time or your time. There might still be someone around who needs help. Just transfer the money to a special account. I think we will do more work in the future, so we will use that account."

"..I hope you heard his answer, sir." Han Yeo Rang was about to cry. The woman didn't understand how Il Han had heard the conversation even though they were three or four meters apart. It was very embarrassing for her.

On the other side, Il Han had finished tearing the dogs apart while cursing the superior in his heart.

Unlike the insect-type monsters of yesterday, today he had gained more. This was because it was easier to process animal hide and bone than insect carapaces.

Of course, the bones of wolves were not metal, so melting them down was out of the question. But because of the innate structure of the bones, they could be reshaped into defensive equipment or weapons, and their pelts would undoubtedly make a good defensive material. Not only that, he could also use the magic stones to make other equipment.

And the real prize was the magic stones. The leader Gray-Wolf and the cunning leader Giant Wolf both had magic stones. What's more, unlike the soybean-sized one he got from insects, Gray-Wolf's magic stone was as big as chocolate-covered almond balls.

"Seeing this makes me want to eat chocolate.."

[DON'T EAT THAT! The magic stone is not something a human can eat directly! Or would you rather have your body controlled by monster mana!?]

"Haahhh.. Okay, I won't eat it, but can't I absorb the mana inside the magic stone like in the cultivation novels?" Hearing Erta's sharp warning, Il Han sighed in disappointment.

[I don't know what a Cultivation novel is, but don't you dare try to eat a magic stone. As for absorbing the mana inside it, I don't think you can do it if you don't have that ability or something.]

"Erta, I didn't know you cared about me this much. That shout of yours really warmed my heart." said a smiling Il Han. He was trying to tease Erta. And in response to his teasing, the angel angrily began to pull his hair.

[...] Erta did not expect such a tease from him. She didn't answer him. She just pulled his hair.

"Even though you don't know about Cultivation novels, I'll be honest right now. These magic stones are really pretty, though not as pretty as you. Ouch.. Wait, wait, I'm just kidding. I'll go bald at a young age because of you." Said Il Han. He would have continued to tease Erta, but apparently the angel was too embarrassed. Because the angel was on Il Han's head, Il Han could not see what the angel's face looked like. So he guessed the state of the angel by the intensity of the pulling of his hair.

[Hush now! Finish your job and go back to hunting the monsters!! You're not done with the mission yet.]

Apart from the magic stones of the boss and the second boss, there were about twenty of them. Yeo Rang swallowed when she saw all these magic stones.

All these magic stones were worth a lot of money, even in Guundia, the world where the soldiers were sent. And they were worth a hundred or a thousand times on Earth because they were one of the necessary pieces to make the equipment that everyone in the Earth needed right now. Of course, who could make such magical equipment was another matter.

'Even if he heard my conversation with the chief, what can I do to get his attention and get a few magic stones from him?'

While Han Yeo Rang was thinking foolish thoughts, Il Han threw the magic stones he had found from the monsters he had dismantled into his backpack and finished dismantling the wolf bodies. And when he was done, he was left with a mountain of monster meat.

"Erta, can I eat this monster meat?" Even though Il Han knew he couldn't eat it for now, he was preparing to bring it up now so that he could ask them for the poison resistance skill as a quest reward in the future.

[If you have a low level poison resistance skill, of course you can eat it.] Erta said with a grin. This was how she wanted to respond to Il Han's previous teasing. Just as he was about to tie his wolf skins bag to the handle of his spear and throw it over his shoulder, Han Yeo Rang approached him and asked with pitiful eyes.

"Can you sell us some of those little magic stones?" (Acting cute)

"No, they are not for sale."

"Okay.." The lieutenant began to sulk. How could he answer with such decisiveness? Had he been a hard-natured general in a previous life?

The sweet talking Han Yeo Rang had to retreat with tears in her eyes when her charm did not work on Il Han. When they returned, she decided to beat her superiors until they were half dead.

At that moment, a car arrived. It was a money delivery service with a staff member who had the rank of lieutenant colonel. And this staff member came as a bonus.

Il Han was thinking of returning the bonus to the military.

"You are truly incredible! To achieve such power in such a short time and be able to kill and dismantle these monsters so efficiently.."

Il Han didn't listen to the new lieutenant colonel's nonsense and took the black bank card from the pile of papers. He showed the bank card to his phone's camera so that Amagi-chan could scan it. Without Il Han having to say anything, Amagi-chan directly accessed the account from the card information and showed how much money was in the account on the phone screen.

400 million won in total (about 300,000 USD)

"Well done, my clever little fox.. Hmm.. 400 million." 'Not bad for now. The blacksmith equipment I was planning to buy with the money I was going to steal from the rich, I can now legally buy with this money.'

The soldiers around were watching what he was doing. But they didn't understand much of what he was doing. The lieutenant colonel only knew how much money was on the bank card he had brought and was surprised when he saw the money displayed on the phone. Was there such technology? Why didn't they know about it?

[This is a very generous offer, given that Wandering Dogs are less than Level 20, no matter how good their skin and bones are. They're probably trying to make a bond with you.]

"I know, I know. They know their job. But they don't have a naive child to fool with money."

Il Han threw the papers into his bag and slung it over his shoulder. When he saw that the soldiers' eyes were on the bag full of wolf skins, which were worth more than a few dog skins, he spoke with relaxation.

"The trade's over, right? I'm leaving. I've got more work to do."

"Of course it's over! But before you go, why don't we have a little talk-"

"There's nothing to talk about. I will kill more monsters in the future, and we will probably see more of each other soon."

"Wha..?"

Il Han replied calmly, then activated his concealment and started to leave. He headed towards his workshop near his current location to drop off the materials he had collected.

"W-What the hell was that?"

"He definitely got his first class."

"He's no longer here. He's disappeared. Does his class give him the ability to conceal?"

"Disappeared in such a very short time? Exactly what is his level...!? What kind of mysterious magic did he encounter in the other world?"

"Unbelievable, Crimson Bolt!!"

"No, Phantom Wolf!"

Of course it was needless to say. Il Han left the scene without listening to their attempts to come up with a nickname.

"Let's go to the workshop and leave these materials there."

[The time it takes for heaven to act on my report is one day. I'm sorry, but we must continue our work during that time. Dangerous monsters can appear in other places. That's why we have to keep hunting monsters after we drop off the materials.]

"Okay, okay. I'll keep hunting after I drop this stuff."

Il Han moved towards his workshop, leaving behind the soldiers who were desperately searching for him. His long day was just beginning.

-Status of updates-

Since I was on New Year's holiday, I was able to write and share the first 10 chapters quickly. After the holiday, I was busy with work, so I didn't have the energy to write anything when I came home from work. I'm sorry to say that it may take a while for the new chapters to come.
