Beautiful misunderstanding

Noticing Shen Li's pale face and seeing the movement between these two people, a trace of doubt flashed through the guard's eyes. He frowned and suddenly, his eyes turned fierce. These people surely didn't have any invitation cards, he thought. Glaring at both of them, he stood in front of them stubbornly.

"You two, if you don't have any cards, then leave. A lot of high-class people are arriving here, so don't block the way" he criticized. "Go away otherwise I will have to throw you out!!!"

Shen Li's face paled even more and he clutched Amelia's sleeves even tighter. The guard's words and tone reminded him of his past life where he was a begger and people would often condemn him or bully him because of his identity. He would often be thrown or pushed away by these types of guards.

Amelia was about to use her power on the guard when suddenly she sensed the little guy's fear. She lowered her eyes and noticed his hand clutching her sleeves tightly. She sighed and rubbed the little guy's head. "Don't be afraid. I am here....." she said.

Shen Li froze. Immediately, his mind cleared up and he jerked his head up, looking up at her smiling face. "Sister Jiang...." he called out her name in a daze.

"I am here," she smiled, her hands still rubbing his little head.

Shen Li saw her smiling eyes and he blushed fervently. Ah!!!! Sister Jiang saw that he was scared. Now what? Will she hate him for being a coward? He did not want her to hate him. It's just that the guard's word brought several dark memories of him being bullied and hence, he was scared for a moment.

"Hey, you two, get out of here!!!!" The guard yelled when he saw the two people were ignoring him.

Amelia narrowed her eyes. She looked straight into the guard's eyes and used her power. "SHUT UP!"

Immediately, the guard froze in his steps and his eyes turned dull. He felt like a strong power going through his body, invading his mind, and was trying to take control over him. He tried to fight against the power using his own strength and spiritual force, but this unknown power was just too strong for him to remove. Finally, when he couldn't take it anymore, he succumbed to that strange power.

"Interesting," Amelia curled her lips.

Just now, she felt the guard trying to resist her control. With his own spiritual force, he was trying to get her out of his mind. However, he failed because his power was too weak as compared to hers. This gave her a new insight into this world. If she tried to control a person whose spiritual force was stronger than hers, then she might fail and even implicate herself.

Hence, this incident made her understand that she needed to increase her vampiric strength by drinking fresh blood. This meant she needed to look for a blood source.

"Sister Jiang, what is interesting?" Shen Li asked when he heard her words.

"Nothing," she answered and turned to look back at the motionless guard. Her eyes began to glow red and she smiled. "MR. GUARD, TAKE US INSIDE ONE TO ONE OF YOUR BEST ROOMS," she commanded.

The guards nodded stiffly. He motioned them to follow behind him. Amelia smiled and took Shen Li's hand and began to follow the guard. Seeing this, once again, Shen Li's heart was in awe of Amelia's power. This made him even more determined to work harder and become a stronger person.

Once they were inside the auction place, Shen Li was in awe. This was his first experience at such a wonderful and grand place. Like a little child, he was looking all around the place with wide, sparkling eyes. When Amelia noticed the smile on his face, she chuckled slowly. Being a thousand year old vampire, she had seen so much of the world that this was nothing special for her.

This auction site building had four floors. The fourth floor was the office area and the third floor was the guest area where different rooms were allocated to special people of high status. These guests were distinguished people such as masters, teachers, and royal people. While the lower floors were for the rest of the people. There was a big stage in the middle where the auction items would be brought and sold.

At this time, the guard brought Amelia to one of the special boxes on the third floor. Compared to the rest of the rooms, this one was slightly different from the others. It looked extra grandeur and extra lavish as if prepared for some kind of a king. What Amelia didn't know was that this room was only used by one person and that was the Crown Prince - Murong Jinzhi. Apart from him, no other person was allowed to enter this room.

As soon as the light of this special box lit up, the entire venue quietened down. All of the people below trembled in their seats knowing that an extra special person whom everyone feared had entered the room. They couldn't help but whisper amongst each other.

"Oh my God!!! Did you see that? The extra special room is lit up. Do you know what that means?"

"The Crown Prince is here!!!!"

"Ah!!! I am so scared. But, isn't it strange? In the past several years, the Crown Prince never came to such a place. Why today?"

"Maybe something special is going to be auctioned today. Hehe, I am so lucky that I came here today. I want to know what the Crown Prince is after."

"What? Are you going to fight against the Crown Prince for that special thing?"

"Huh? No!! Do I look like an idiot? To fight against the Crown Prince? Only if I have a death wish....."

Everyone was getting excited because of the Crown Prince's presence. However, it was all a beautiful understanding. And, the person who created this beautiful misunderstanding aka. Amelia had nothing to do about it. She glanced at the little guy who was spinning happily all around the room.

"Wow!!! Sister Jiang, this room is so beautiful....." Shen Li looked at everywhere and touched everything inside the room in awe.

"Hmm." Amelia nodded.
