Chapter 483: I Love You Deeply in My Heart

Victoria blushed a little with embarrassment.

Although she was, by all rights, already part of the Clegg Family and indeed, Lady Clegg treated her like her own daughter, Victoria still found it hard to call her 'Mother'.

Normally confident and outgoing Victoria was shy in these situations.

Lady Clegg would have begun to complain, but Hank Clegg timely mediated, "Mom, Victoria and I have just tackled a case together. We were up all night. Let's discuss the wedding matter some other time."

Lady Clegg, looking at her son defending Victoria, used her usual winning smile to keep her complaints to herself.

"You need rest now." She gently patted Victoria on her shoulder.

"I don't understand." Victoria complained, once they were in their room. "Auntie is emotionally intelligent. Why are you three brothers so awkward?"

She didn't pay attention to Hank Clegg's expression and continued, "Oh, I get it now. It's because of Uncle!"
