"Snake! Snake!" Phoebe Wood shrieked, on the verge of fainting. She tossed the fairy tale book aside and bolted towards the door, crying out, "Help! A snake is going to bite me! Help me—"

Within moments, Lady and Lord Clegg had rushed over.

"Where is the snake?" Lord Clegg walked forcefully into the room, "Don't worry, we just need to catch it."

Lady Clegg dashed over to Anne, cradling her in her arms. "My darling girl, where is the snake? It didn't bite you, did it? Didn't scare you too much, did it?"

Dumbfounded, Anne picked up the little green snake from her bed and asked everyone, "Is Auntie talking about this?"

Lady Clegg's face changed instantly, "Throw that thing away immediately! Be careful it might bite you!"

She was about to snatch the snake away when Anne stopped her.

Anne laughed heartily, "Granny, this is my toy, the one you bought for me. Have you forgotten?"
