Luo Jingyi left the hospital and walked the direction where her new apartment building was. The renovation was on-going, but she wanted to check the place before heading home.

Lotus Gardens is a newly built building complex consisting of four buildings for housing purposes. These buildings provide a high-quality living space. An apartment unit costs millions. Luo Jingyi recalled that her friend, Alexa, asked her if she wanted to get a flat there, but she refused, thinking she wouldn't even need one. 

It took her less than ten minutes to get there. Using the keycard given to her, she pressed it against the sensor and got inside the building on the right. She took the elevator to the 17th floor. When the doors opened, she exited but was caught off guard when a bucket of cold water was splashed on her. She yelped in surprise.

"Dr. Luo?!" Yun Jian exclaimed in shock upon realizing it was the doctor who saved his life, and it wasn't the friend they were waiting for. 

When Luo Jingyi directed her gaze, she recognized Yun Jian. He was the teenager she saved three weeks ago. He was in a wheelchair. There was another person beside him who was holding the bucket. 

"I'm sorry." Yun Jian's friend apologized. They were waiting for a schoolmate who was coming to visit Yun Jian. They intended to punish him by giving him a bucket of cold water. 

"I'm sorry, Dr. Luo. We wanted to surprise a friend who was coming for a visit. We didn't mean to do this to you." Yun Jian quickly explained, looking away. 

Luo Jingyi pursed her lips. Luo Jingyi was shivering, thoroughly drenched. Her dress was sticking on her body.

"That—Dr. Luo, my apartment—" He coughed. "—is on this floor. Why don't you come and change your clothes first?" Yun Jian was blushing. 

Luo Jingyi hesitated. When she glanced at herself, she had no choice but to agree. She couldn't go around looking like that. She followed the two.

In the apartment, Yun Jian pointed to the guest room. "There are towels in the cupboard above the sink. I'm going to get clothes for you to change on." He said while he scratched the back of his head shyly.

Luo Jingyi nodded and entered the room immediately. Yun Jian was frozen, unable to move. He couldn't believe what just happened. He was embarrassed about their prank. His Dr. Luo would now think that he was childish.

"No. no…..no. I have to show her I'm a man." Yun Jian told himself. Calling out his friend, they went to his parents' bedroom and raided his mother's closet.

The guest room used to have extra outfits for guests; however, his mother cleaned them out when Yun Jian kept inviting his female friends home. Now, none of his female friends were allowed in this residence.

"Not nice….not nice...the color is very boring....." He said in succession for the clothes that his friend picked. His friend shook his head.

"Why are you very picky? She just needed clean clothes to change on. She isn't going to attend a party." The friend was weirded with Yun Jian's behavior. 

Instead of answering, Yun Jian pointed to the closet. "Take that floral dress." His friend could only follow. Although Yun Jian could stand, he was enjoying being in a wheelchair.

Luo Jingyi emerged from the bathroom five minutes later, wearing a clean robe she took from the cupboard. She found Yun Jian at the doorway, hesitating to get inside the room. 

"That— here's changing clothes for you. They are new." He stammered. His heart thrashed in his ears. In less than a minute, he sauntered in, set the clothes on the sofa, and went out without saying a word.

'What was that?' Luo Jingyi wondered, shaking her head. 

Luo Jingyi wore them. The dress fitted her perfectly, but the brassiere was a size bigger. 'You can't be choosy.' She reminded herself after looking at the mirror.

Coming out of the bedroom, she heard a woman's voice echoing inside the apartment. "Yun Jian, how many times did I tell you not to invite your female friends in our house? Don't your friends have a house? Our residence is not a sleeping quarter for them!"

"Mom, it's not like that!" Yun Jian intended to explain, but seeing Luo Jingyi's figure behind his mother, he was unable to speak.

"What is? Did you and your friends have a drinking session in the guest room again? Gosh! What am I supposed to do with a son like you? You are always creating trouble. Do you know how many problems you are creating for your father?" Yun Yi was seething in anger. 

Yun Yi and her husband were very busy, so her son would always invite his friends. And when they got drunk, they created trouble by bothering neighbors, knocking at neighbor's home at the wee hours, and even playing loud music in the middle of the night. One time, his friends climbed over the balcony of their neighbor and scared an older woman, sending her to the emergency room due to a heart attack. They always moved due to these concerns. Her bucket filled with patience had been really emptied.

"I'm calling the police, I'm going to have them looked for—" Her voice faltered. Her eyes followed where her son was looking.

"Hi", Luo Jingyi greeted, unable to determine why she was embarrassed. She met Yun Yi in GM Hospital; however, she recalled seeing her name on Yun Jinghan's file. Yun Yi is Yun Jinghan's sister. Hearing the woman's rants, she could somewhat guess that Yun Jian had been causing troubles.

"Dr. Luo!" Yun Yi recognized Luo Jingyi even though they spoke briefly at GM General Hospital.

"I'm sorry for barging in your home. I got rained on. Yun Jian saw me, and he graciously offered me to use your bathroom." Good thing it rained earlier, so she used it as an excuse. "Please don't be mad at him." She chose not to tell Yun Yi of her son's prank. Yun Jian looked at Luo Jingyi with thankful eyes.

"Oh, so that's how it was. Don't worry, don't worry. I'm just worried he created problems again." Yun Yi explained.

"Sit down first. I'll get you something to drink."

"There's no need. I'm—" Luo Jingyi's words were nothing because the woman was already dashing towards the kitchen. Luo Jingyi believed it was impolite to leave, so she stayed. While waiting, she scanned the room.

The apartment was very spacious. It crossed her mind that the home was taken out straight from a magazine. Everything is luxurious.
