In a world where people measure time using centuries as the standard unit, 10 years isn't a long time.
Especially to cultivators who are of and above the foundation level, 10 years is no different than one year. They are both merely the snap of the finger.
However, some things and some people are not that easily forgotten.
For example, the name of the person who completed 200 perfectly ranked missions 10 years ago, was a name that nobody in the Shang Qing Sect could forget.
Of course, to put it more accurately, the name was buried deep in everyone's heart.
In the beginning, the low leveled descendants were still trying to find out information about Ling Xian. Every day, they would guard the Hall of Mission for his appearance. However, as time went on, he still didn't show himself, which made many people lose their patience.
Now, the name "Xian Ling" was buried deep in everyone's heart and nobody really mentions it anymore.
