"What happens when a nerdy girl falls for a playboy?" "They say that pain is a sign of weakness leaving your body but in my case, it's a clamp that refuses to let go of my heart no matter how hard I try." Chisom has had a complicated life but when she meets him, the world seems brighter and everything feels a thousand times better. Even though Chisom masquerades as the strongest person she knows with nothing being able to move her, deep down, her emotions are as fragile as an egg: easily shattered. Meeting him was one of the best things to happen to her. He was her first love but would he be her last?
"You're from the state, aren't you?" He asked.
"Well, yes, I happened to have both parents from the same state," I smirked, not wanting to give a straight yes or no answer.
"Where did I get this daughter from?" My dad muttered, making me imagine how he would be shaking his head in mock regret and lamentation.
"Sorry, sir!" I laughed, deciding to put him out of the misery he was currently enduring.
"I got here safely anyway. I want to unpack and then start cooking. But… why didn't you and mummy hire a catering service too? This cooking is looking stressful and I haven't even started yet!" I complained.
"If you like, cry from now till tomorrow, you'll still prepare that food," My dad laughed as he imitated my complaints.
"Bye-bye!" I pouted, hanging up the phone whilst knowing full well that my dear father would still be laughing heartily at my expense.
