Pack's Secrets: The Alpha

[Book One of the Pack's Secrets series] Having a mate was supposed to be fun. Not that Tilda Grey is unhappy but she and her mate are just so far away even though they are close. When Alpha of the Silver Demon pack, Tilda Grey, finds her mate, Annabelle Black, a Gamma, she is filled with immediate dread. Not because she doesn't want her mate. Because she finds her mate in an attacked and bloody state. There are way too many secrets in their still-growing relationship. Not the I-dated-and-had-sex-before-meeting-you type of secrets. Those are okay. Their secrets are the I-can't-talk-about-it-or-else-someone-can-get-hurt and the get-hurt means someone-like-you-and-me-and-my-loved-ones-so-I'm-sorry. They need this to work as they are both in the need of genuine affection but despite their naked bodies meeting each other, their naked souls are still hidden away. And with all the chaos and pressure coming from the Royal pack, there's only so much they can take until one of them breaks. Can they make it? Or will they go down in flame and burn everyone on their path?

Rough Friend

"I… have news…" Oliver said again with a sheepish smile on his face.

"Better be good." Tilda groaned but she couldn't stay mad at him.

"It is I guess." Oliver shrugged and looked at Annabelle. "Hope you are better Luna."

"Thank you, Oliver." Annabelle smiled. "How are your parents?"

Both Tilda and Oliver's bodies went stiff. "They are better than they used to." Oliver smiled. "Still in a coma though."

Tilda examined Annabelle and Oliver's behaviors. This wasn't how two strangers talked with each other but they didn't look too familiar too. A mix between formal and informal.

Tilda again looked at Oliver. He was talking about the Shadow pack with Annabelle but as long as Tilda remembered, Oliver and his parents were in the Silver Demon pack.

Later. Oliver said through the mind-link when he noticed Tilda's questioning stare. "Thank you, Annabelle, for telling me this even though I'm an outsider."

"You deserve to know as much as the others," Annabelle said. "You wanted to announce something I guess, right?"

"Oh yes!" Oliver grinned and turned to look at Tilda. "I have two news. Which one should I say first? The good one or the good one?"

"Shut up." Tilda rolled her eyes. "The good one." Annabelle who was still smiling said at the same time.

"I already like my Luna better than my Alpha," Oliver smirked. "So, I found no trace of betrayal on my subject's mind." He said carefully, not knowing how much Annabelle knows about her mother.

"Continue." Tilda nodded.

"Also, Robert Black has woken up though the healers said we should give him more time and we can't still visit but for now, he is stable and we have Judy and Jordan looking after him so he will be completely healed by tomorrow."

"Thank you," Annabelle said as she released the breath that she was holding ever since she heard her father's name.

"There's also another thing," Oliver said. "Judy told me that you will be free to leave in the next thirty minutes if you were okay."

"I am fine for now," Annabelle said.

"I'm sure dear Alpha would love to give you a tour around the packhouse," Oliver smirked as he continued. "Hopefully end up with you in her bedroom."

"Get out," Tilda said flatly. "Or I'll kick you out."

"Don't bother." Oliver grinned and left the room at the same bouncy pace that he entered.

"I still can't believe Oliver's family left the Shadow pack," Annabelle said more to herself.

"They were in the Shadow pack?" Tilda asked. "Never heard anyone talk about it."

"It's weird because many people still talked about them in the Shadow pack the last time I was there." Annabelle shrugged. "But it's Oliver's business. Let's just get out of this place."

"Is my packhouse that awful?" Tilda raised an eyebrow playfully.

"I won't say anything even if it is," Annabelle winked as her eyes glowed a bright green color. "I only saw your infirmary and I hate infirmaries."

"A race?" Tilda asked. "To the outside so you won't say I cheated because I know where to go."

"And a deal?" Annabelle asked.

"Hmm okay." Tilda nodded. "Whoever that loses will do whatever that the winner asks her to do."

"You got yourself a deal," Annabelle smirked. "But let me tell you, I am quite good at racing."

"Not as good as me," Tilda smirked back. "One, two, three, start!"

Both sprinted toward the exit. There wasn't much space to run but they made it by playfully pushing each other and trying to make space.

"I won!" Annabelle shouted happily as soon as they made it outside with a little difference between them. "In. Your. Face!" Annabelle laughed happily.

"I just let you win." Tilda huffed.

"Don't be a sore loser, Tilda," Annabelle smirked happily. "I won. You lost. Get over it. Plus! I gave you a head start!"

"Whatever," Tilda mumbled but smile nonetheless at Annabelle. "Now where to start the tour, Annie?"

"How would I know?" Annabelle said. "You're the Alpha. Lead the way. Start with somewhere you like less than others."

"Okay." Tilda thought about her packhouse for a brief moment. "You saw the infirmary so the next we will go to… the kitchen!"

"You like the kitchen less?" Annabelle asked. "I can't believe that someone can't love the kitchen!"

"No," Tilda answered and took Annabelle's hand subconsciously as she led them toward the packhouse's kitchen. "I love my packhouse, even its toilets."

"Fair enough." Annabelle laughed. "Till we get there, let's play twenty questions."

"I'll go first." Tilda nodded. "Favorite food?"

"Anything sweet," Annabelle said. "Especially donuts and chocolate chips."

"We are going to get in trouble for that," Tilda said. "I hate sweets."

"Then you lost half of your life with not eating them," Annabelle stated confidently. "How can anyone not like that!? You are crazy but now that you have me, I'm going to make sure you eat as many sweets as I can shove down your throat."

"I won't let you," Tilda said. "I wear the pants in our relationship."

"Who said we are in one?" Annabelle smirked and stopped.

"Oh, we are not?" Tilda smirked back, knowing where this was going. "You are my mate."

"I am," Annabelle said as they moved closer and closer to each other.

This is it. Tilda thought. It is going to happen and it is going to be perfect. No interrupti―

"Annabelle!" A rough wolf came into their view and shouted the moment they were close enough to feel each other without touching lips. "I finally found you!"

"Reyhane!"

"YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"

Hehe I really enjoy interrupting them :D
