Magnus said while looking at the emperor in front of him waiting for any reaction or answer so that he can tell him what he saw earlier but Octavius was calmly looking into his eyes as if he did not hear any of what the true blood said "Did you hear what I said, your majesty?"

The emperor cleared his throat when he noticed how he again went back to staring at his new brodalisque as if it was his first time seeing another human being "Magnus, I'm the emperor there always were people trying to kill me and there still trying and will keep trying. That's not a new thing to me."

Octavius said this in the calmest voice tone he owns before walking back to where he threw his crown on the bed and picked it up to place it on his head but what Magnus said made him freeze in his spot " So it's not new to your majesty to know that your brother is trying to kill you?"
