Kite slowly floated around above the clouds, the long tentacles connected to his cerebellum carved a path through the clouds. Kite had increased all of his psychic-related abilities to level ten after evolving into an Elder Mind.

'Should I start a hive?'

Kite would need to reach level 80 to become a mind mother, so he decided against it. 'Now that my skills reached level ten I can bring them back!'

Kite smiled knowing his strength was only increasing. 'Though it is unfortunate I can't bring non-related psychic skills.' Kite ended the world transfer so his soul would be brought back over.

"Ahhh!"

Kite gave a loud yawn before standing up, his back popped as he started walking downstairs. "You're finally up?" Obellion shook her head helplessly.

"Obellion!" Kite jumped toward Obellion trying to give her a hug, but she moved to the side, allowing him to slide over the counter.

THUD

Kite smashed against the wooden floor with a heavy thud. "Is there any need to act like that so early?" Ashia gave an agitated stare toward Kite.

A smile widened across Kite's face. "Of course there is, a dark lord must always be energetic."

"Darklord my ass!" Ashia took another sip of her drink. The bell went off signaling a new customer who got everyone's attention.

"Hobgoblin!" Ashia shamelessly jumped over behind the counter with Obellion. 'She shows her true colors when faced with danger huh?'

Kite helplessly shook his head before turning back to the hobgoblin. The green humanoid wore a brown leather vest along with some leather gauntlets. "Kekeke! You know the drill Obellion!"

"I'm getting the gold now."

Before Obellion could leave the counter, a purple square construct formed, blocking her in. "Huh?!" both Obellion and Ashia were confused at the object blocking them in.

The hobgoblin's smile faded rapidly, it looked toward Kite who had a purple glow irradiating from his hand which matched the color of the construct. "Bring your boss?"

Kite said with a grin, he knew the perfect way to finish his general's bully. "Kekeke! You want to see Grog?"

"Yeah, call him here directly."

Kite had moved both his hands behind his back because he thought it made him look like a profound master. "Well, if you're so eager to die, Kekekeke!"

The hobgoblin left the inn with a happy grin on its face. "KITE! Why would you do that!?"

Obellion ran toward him once the construct vanished, she couldn't understand why someone so weak would be dumb enough to provoke Grog. Kite simply stared off into the distance trying to make himself appear to be mysterious.

Obellion placed her head against his head and traced where he was staring. "What are you doing Obellion?"

"Trying to figure out what the hell is so enticing."

"Well, you're ruining your lord's frame." Kite had a vein bulging through his chin. "I'm about to ruin you, that's if Grog doesn't." Obellion gave a harsh stare toward Kite.

THUD, THUD, THUD.

The large orc pushed a hole in the wall trying to walk in. Every inch of his body was sculpted with bulging muscles, honed through years of combat and physical training.

The air he gave off demanded respect from those around him. "So this is the little human."

Grog pulled the large axe off his back that was bigger than Kite himself. 'He surely isn't grabbing that to cut his long hair...' Kite gulped but was prepared for this.

The other hobgoblins and goblins that walked in behind Grog started to chant, "Kill him!"

"HALT! Where are your manners?" Kite sat down at a table and pulled a deck of cards from behind his back.

"Ha, not surprised, the pretty boy wants a card game over a real man's fight!"

All the goblins started to laugh as if they heard the funniest joke of all time.

Grog's large figure surprisingly didn't break the chair when he sat down. "What are we betting?" Grog wasted no time putting up stakes, he wouldn't play a card game if he couldn't earn anything.

"We're playing 21, also, it doesn't matter what we bet as I'm going to be the one winning."

Kite gave a smug look toward the brute of an orc. "Let's see...how about 50,000 gold? If you can't pay it then you'll be my slave pretty boy."

Grog gave Kite a toothy grin which also allowed his bad breath to seep into Kite's face. A succession of laughter from the goblins erupted.

"How about 100,000? I'll even place Aisha and Obellion on the line!" Kite pointed toward the two beautiful women who retreated behind the counter. "No! I didn't agree with that!" Ashia wanted to cry right now, Kite was about to get her sold off to a dirty orc.

Obellion simply shook her head helplessly. "For sure human!" Grog held his head back while laughing. Grog knew, either way, he would benefit from this day, even if he lost, he would simply force all 3 of them under him.

'I'll have my way with all 3 of them.' Grog smiled, this was exactly why he liked humans, especially ones like Kite.

Kite had placed a simple swap place along with a analyze skill on each card. The amount of willpower lost was nothing as the cards weren't powerful items that put up resistance.

He locked the skills to him so Grog couldn't sense them on the cards or use them. "A jack and a 9!" Grog assumed Kite wasn't going to ask for another card.

"Hit me."

Kite swapped the places of the card off the top with a 2 in the middle of the deck. 'Hah, overwrite is going to make me rich!' Kite smiled as he stopped the card that Grog slid over to him.

"21!" Kite acted happy about the win.

Grog lifted his flipped-over card only to have gotten 13 so he placed another card only to 18. "First to 3 right right?" Grog looked up at Kite with an anticipated stare.

"Of course." Kite slid the cards back over with a wide grin. Grog couldn't understand why Kite was so happy but as the next rounds were a loss for him, he started to get annoyed.

"Double or nothing!"

"Sure, if you're down to lose 200,000 thousand gold I won't complain."

"Let's up the stakes, I'll take your axe here if I win also since I did include Obellion and Ashia."

"That's fine with me!"

Grog made sure to pay close attention to Kite this round. Kite picked up his two cards so he could use the analyze skill on the card to analyze the deck.

"Hit me..."

"Hit me..."

This was the last game of the double or nothing. So far, Kite hadn't lost a single game which made the goblins go wild.

"What how?!"

"Lucky bastard!"

"He must be cheating!"

"How about this, I'll get 21 on the first two cards that you give me!" Kite had a wide smile that showed off his arrogance.

"And if I do...you will pay 300,000. If I don't get those two cards, you owe nothing." Kite propped his head against his hand while closing his eyes.

"Fine..." Grog's mood was ruined, but he couldn't understand how his enemy was cheating, so he passed out Kite's cards. "Would you look at that?" Kite opened one eye slightly and stared at the king and ace on the table.

"Well, you can start by bringing me my 300 grand Groggy." Kite humiliated him further by giving him a nickname.

A menacing aura shrowded the Inn. Grog reached out to grab Kite, his hand missed, but instead, a golden coin shot forth into his face.

The coin reappeared in Kite's hand which soon shot back into his face as Kite flicked it.

'A coin infused with the Propel, Homing, and Return skills.' Kite thought while watching Grog get smacked back by the coin.

It was almost as if a barrage of punches was being thrown into Grog's face as the coin flashed back and forth. The goblins couldn't believe their leader was being beaten by an opponent who hadn't even moved.

'Unfortunately for Grog, I increased the durability of this coin.' Kite smiled when Grog stumbled back after being smacked in the nose. His green face was now blue and purple.

Everyone was too shocked to do anything. 'Was he hiding his strength?' Obellion never sensed anything out of the ordinary from Kite.

"Thank the heavens! Kite isn't the idiot I perceived him as!" Ashia fell to her knees with a cry.

"Grog, go and retrieve my gold." purple lighting swirled around Kite's body which looked as if it was about to burst forth.

'If he still refuses, I'll show him a max-level Mind pulse!'

Kite's voice now had a demanding tone behind it which would hunt Grog for the next few years.

"G-go bring the platinum!" Grog screamed at the goblins who scattered back to their lair. Kite was happy things went so well, his intelligence increased slightly after using so many skills, along with his willpower.

His brain wasn't fatigued after using that much willpower, but if he kept going, some fatigue would definitely appear.

"I will give those goblins 20 minutes to return, Grog."

Grog started to sweat profusely, his pride was hurt which furthered his fury.
