General POV:

Both sister's eyes turned to Otsuka, who sheepishly looked away. "Hey, in my defense, he was in a coma last I saw him."

Shawn turns towards her. "And I'll have to thank you for that by the way. I thought myself invincible to poison, but you humbled me. As they say, whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger."

Otsuka narrows her eyes at Shawn.

"I don't know how, but you speak the truth. You are somehow stronger in the course of 30 minutes." She, like her sisters, began to regret their decision to keep him alive. Otsuka and Yahiro both only hope it wasn't too late to correct their obvious mistake.

Through the sister's hesitation, Shawn turns towards Mamoru. "So that's it? You're giving up?"

Mamoru turns his head, unable to meet his eyes. "I cannot bring myself to bring harm on my brother. Anything he does to me; I deserve for allowing him to be in this situation.

No sooner does Mamoru say this, does Shawn knock on the top of Mamoru's head. Shocked he looks at him on confusion while rubbing the sore spot.

"Are you not my teacher? I know that both of us are capable of saving him without even touching a hair on his head. Plus, think about it like this. You feel as though you deserve this, but don't you think that if his brother is capable of saving him, he should do that rather than dying to him?" Shawn admonishes him.

Mamoru's eyes flash with understanding for a brief moment before he begins to chuckle. He hadn't thought of that. He figured that dying to his brother would compensate for his failures. But leave it to his student to give him new ways of thinking. Standing, Mamoru looks at the sisters with a newfound confidence.

"Forgive my momentarily foolishness." He says, correcting his clothes to their proper positions before assuming a pose ready to attack.

"It's alright. I'm used to your foolishness by now." Shawn responds, also readying to attack.

Yahiro turns to her sisters, "The apprentice is mine. You two handle Mamoru." Hearing this, Shawn raised an eyebrow at her.

"Judging from your wounds, and how you told both your sisters to fight Mamoru, it's clear that you can't take him alone. No offense to Mamoru, but I'm stronger than him. Do you think you can take me?" He asks her.

She smiled devilishly, revealing Shawn that she had some tricks up her sleeve. Could she possibly be like Otsuka and have a blessing from her deity animal?

"Oh, that's right. Mamoru be careful of...." Shawn trails off as Yahiro jumps at him, pulling his focus to her. Likewise, the other two engaged with Mamoru. Even though Shawn didn't finish his sentence, Mamoru knew of what he was trying to warn him about. Clearly someone who was capable of taking Shawn out even for a moment was someone to be cautious of.

Yahiro lashed out, with powerful fists aimed at Shawn's vital pressure points, in an attempt to shut off his limb functions. Shawn watched her movements carefully, side-stepping each attack. To him, with his newfound power, each movement was slowed down. He could see and tell which of her muscles were being used at the moment.

Yahiro punched forward, aiming for his temple. Shawn easily slapped her fist away and brings his own up, punching her in the stomach. The force of the punch slightly knocked her into the air, as her face contorted with pain. Shawn followed up with a two-piece, hitting her right in the jaw on both sides of her face. Finishing, he headbutt her, making her slide back as she sprawled out on the ground.

Seeing her breathing, he knew that even after that, she wasn't at the very least knocked out, even though he had put some force into those hits. Sitting up, she began to chuckle as she wiped the blood off her mouth, over the purple bruises on her cheeks.

"You got some power on you boy. Too bad I was hit harder as a kid." She says, rising to her feet as if unfazed by what I just did.

Why was I holding back? Just kill her and the sisters then deal with the Ravager here and I could go on my way.

I raised my fists calming my breathing as I focused on her. I would be wise not to underestimate her as I had no idea if she had a blessing or not, but I decided that the best way to deal with that, would be to just straight up kill her in a single blow.

I lunge forward at insane speeds, pulling my right fist back as I near her. In the seconds that I close in on her, none of my senses alert me to danger, so I press my attack. As I bring my fist forward aiming for her skull, I notice that the smile never left her face. Slight movement below me, directs my attention for but a millisecond. Aimed at my stomach was a gun.

Mamoru, who was paying attention to both his fight and Shawn's, so he didn't fail to notice what was happening. "Shawn watch out!" He shouts, but gunfire rings throughout the room. Mamoru looks in horror as his apprentice continues his attack. A resounding boom echoes as Yahiro flies back, with her head a bloody mess.

He stops his fight as he begins to rush to Shawn's side, only to pause as he sees Shawn holding a bullet up in the air that he lets drop to the ground. He points to Otsuka, "You're next."

A shiver runs down Otsuka's spine, as she begins to fear the boy in front of her. Yahiro was easily the toughest person that she knew. No one could have killed her in one hit, and yet, there she was. They had been so close to completing centuries worth of ancestral grudges, but one boy threatened everything. Maybe they should have listened to the robot.

Wait. Her poison worked on him before, maybe it could again. Even though he basically recovered from it, all she needed was the time bought for her and Kitsune to escape.

She carefully slides the cylinder open, allowing the poison to drift out. For it to work, she first needed to the person to ingest the poison in some form, so smelling it was the easiest way. Then, she would have to draw his blood for the actual blessing to take effect. Luckily the effect of the first poison makes his senses dulled, so he had no idea that she had cut him in their prior fight.

She watched as the poison slowly edged towards him, as he thankfully made no attempt to come at her at all. Once she was sure that the poison had entered his body, she drew her blade. Desperation and adrenaline fueled her movements, making her far faster than she's ever been before.

Just one slice, that's all she needed. Her entire being put everything it had into trying to cut him. If he could become stronger so easily, why couldn't she? Her desperation turned to joy as she watched as her blade was just inches from his skin. She let out a triumphant cry as she felt it impact, knowing now, they could escape.

The tip of her blade flies past her face, causing her to freeze up. Turning slowly, she finds his sly smile, right before noticing a looming shadow. Shawn's fist slams into her face, causing her body to fly back next to a stunned Kitsune, who just looks at her dead sister's body.

"Next, is your turn." Shawn simply says.
