Sandwich Rods

General POV:

A figure rises from behind the confines of the barricade. The soldiers, who were nearest to him, have to duck to the side to avoid getting shocked by stray lightning bolts that come from the figure.

The figure, who once was known as Shawn Rose, stands tall and proud as the bullets continue to fly towards him. Any bullet that threatens to land their mark, enter his electrical field and is sent careening harmlessly away.

He takes a moment to look around at the pathetic state everyone is, shaking his head in disappointment at what he sees.

'So. He left me to clean up his mess, huh? As expected of someone so pathetic.' He thinks to himself.

He takes a step forward, walking towards the enemy without a care in the world. Everyone watches as bullets seemingly deflect off him, striking the walls of the tunnel. Reinhardt eyes the figure as his years of experience tell him that something is off about this guy. He knew somehow that while it appeared to be Shawn, this was something more chaotic.

Reinhardt stands in front of the guy, stopping him in his tracks. He looks up at Reinhardt in annoyance, but Rein doesn't care as he tries to get answers.

"Who are you?" Reinhardt asks, as bullets clank off his armor.

The guy smirks as he contemplates something for a second before answering.

"Even if I explained it, you wouldn't understand, so I won't bother wasting my breath. He calls me Evil Shawn like an idiot but without my help he will never realize the truth, so send him a message for me will you big guy. Tell him I said, Sandwich Rods."

Having said that, he steps past a confused Reinhardt who tries to process what was just said to him. 'Evil Shawn? The truth?'

The actions of Evil Shawn don't go unnoticed by the opposition. Anubis studies this figure, noting the change in countenance, or the usage of his powers. Only an idiot wouldn't recognize this as a valid threat.

"Ignore everyone else. Focus everything on him." Anubis commands the Ravagers who relay his orders.

'I don't care what you're doing, no one can 1v1000.' Anubis thinks.

The Bastions on the flank, who were previously about to overbear the Trump supporters, ignore them and start marching towards Evil Shawn as per orders. The Huntsman each recalculate their aim towards the lone figure slowly walking to them. Bastions configure into turret form and all at once, all omnics open fire.

As bullets and even the occasional rocket all flies towards Evil Shawn, he lets out a yawn, as not a single projectile hits him. After a full minute, the Ravagers see that he's basically unharmed, but they don't call for a cease fire, calculating that whatever he's doing will take up a lot of energy and run out soon.

Evil Shawn stares at the Ravagers in the distance in boredom and decides he's grown tired of them and now wants to have a little fun of his own. His foot connects with a nearby fallen Bastion unit, and electricity sparks from the omnic to him. All the Ravagers and Anubis watch with interest as the lightning bolts start to fly off Evil Shawn, making him hover off the ground.

Then suddenly, a dome of electricity showers everyone in a radius. Humans caught in the blast get an intense headache as their hair raises on its end as miniature lightning bolts arc from each strand.

On the omnic side, not every one of them was caught in it, as the Huntsmen and Ravagers were too far away. Those that were, immediately fell as they short-circuited. Anubis, in his pedestal housing his program, quaked with anger. Just as he was going to relay new orders, he noticed movement from the fallen Bastion Siege Automaton E54 units.

He assumed that the EMP blast from this Shawn was a different variation from the former ones he's been using, thus dismissed those units as gone. But he saw their repair tool function working and fixing the damage done when they short-circuited.

Each E54 unit that once was on the ground stood up, with the front lines reconfiguring back into turret form. From the Ravagers eyes that he was looking through, Anubis caught sight of one of the configured E54 units and froze. Instead of the red glow that they were supposed to have, it was a deep blue.

Each Bastion that had a deep blue glow in its eye turned and opened fire on any that still had the red glow, and chaos ensued. In retaliation, Anubis ordered those Bastions to be shot down immediately. The Huntsmen turned their guns to follow orders, but the turret form Bastions prioritized them.

Shooting out their legs, the Huntsmen fell as they continued firing, destroying any omnics near them. The red eye E54 units couldn't accurately follow the orders as their vision was always red and was unable to differentiate the colors in other E54 eyes. So, they just remained still as they were shot down.

Smiling at the confusion he caused, he took further action as electricity pooled from him to constitute five orbs above his shoulders. He looked at the nearby soldiers, who were staring with their mouths agape at the scene before them. Ignoring them, he addresses Reinhardt solely.

"Don't you guys have to be somewhere?" He asks condescendingly before taking off at high speeds towards the Ravagers.

Reinhardt snaps into action at his words, realizing that the truth behind Evil Shawn's words and that they couldn't remain there.

"Let's move!" Reinhardt bellows, snapping the Overwatch soldiers out of their stupor. Everyone hurries past the destroyed Bastion units through a way that Evil Shawn cleared for them. As the survivors make it through back into the city, Reinhardt takes one last look at the flying Evil Shawn.

'Sandwich Rods?' Rein questions to himself.
