Dōji was still standing among his bloody creation, while three still-breathing Knights lay before him.
He leisurely leaned on his Kanabo, which he had taken back out for comfort, and at the same time, he continued to take a few gulps of wine from time to time.
The villagers who had huddled themselves together, slowly realized that they wouldn't be killed like the Knights who attacked them, but this didn't mean that they would dare to move much or even speak to the terrible existence Dōji was to them.
"Tsk..." clicking his tongue, Doji got annoyed, the behavior of the villagers was understandable, but it was also pretty annoying.
Whenever he moved even a little bit, they would all shudder as he was about to kill them the next second.
Remembering that there were three people to amuse himself with and to get rid of his annoyance below him.
An evil smile spread on his face as he thought, 'Since when did I enjoy playing with people so much?'
But to be true, he didn't even see the three below him as humans. Yeah, even he already realized that now, humans were no more than inferior Lifeforms to him.
Much like all residents of Nazarick, the problem was that the people below him were even a disgrace for inferior lifeforms.
He didn't really understand it all, but he had done before what felt right to him and he planned to continue in the same way.
"Lord Momonga said to keep some alive... let's try to get some information while I get rid of my annoyance..."
He looked at the three people below him, 'who to play with first?'
.
.
.
'Huh?! Am I still alive? Or in the realm of the dead?' Londes Di Clamp felt his fuzzy mind, remembering what happened before he wondered if he was still alive or if he had come to the underworld or something.
His eyes slowly opened and a noise came into his ears.
*Gulu* *GuluGulu*
Someone was drinking something near him, but his vision was so blurry, 'It seems I am still alive?'
Alloway his vision got better, but the moment it did, he hated himself for ever wanting it to get better.
There in front of him was the monster he had watched ripping a man's spine out of his body by ripping off his head.
The being who slaughtered his comrades like they were a group of Pigs in a slaughterhouse.
No...no... much worse, he couldn't even find the right words for what this embodiment of pure violence had done to them.
Fear and Terror gripped his heart tightly, his teeth started to rattle, his face became as pale as a ghost and he couldn't move even a millimeter, in fear that the being would take it as an offense and rip him apart as well.
The being put away the Guardbottle it was drinking from, it let out a sigh of contentment, it seemingly enjoyed the contents quite a lot.
Then its gaze went onto himself and a smile spread on the visible part under the helmet. The helmet itself was already intimidating when one didn't know about the strength of this being.
The pitch-black metal, covered the whole head, only leaving the lower jaw visible and the two metal horns extending from where the hairline on the forehead would be.
But the terrifying potion green eyes and the vicious evil smile on the visible part made Londes feel that the blood in his body had stopped flowing and his mind was blank for a while.
The being then pulled him back into reality by ordering him, "You will tell me everything that happened here right now and also why."
It didn't ask, it simply ordered him and he knew that this being didn't even see him as something worthy of the name lifeform.
He just hoped to die less horrible if he told everything he knew at once.
Not even for a second did he think about God or his country, all he wanted was to die a less painful and horrible death.
And so he spoke.
"We are from the Slain Thecrac and we're here to kill villagers to bait out the strongest Warrior of the Re-Estize Kingdom."
"The Sunlight scripture was ordered to kill him, while he doesn't have his full gear on him."
"We were supposed to kill these villagers like we had done with all the others before..."
The moment the being held up his hand, he immediately stopped, fearing displeasing it, if he spoke even a single word more.
"There should be people among you who killed the parents of a pair of sisters, one being a teenage beauty and the other being a little girl, any idea what I'm talking about? I Yes, just nod your head."
Though Lodes didn't know why that was important, he had seen what happened and so he frantically nodded his head like a chicken pecking at rise on the ground.
"Good... it's the one who killed them among the two over there? Just nod if yes and point at the one who you saw doing it."
Turning his head along the finger in the plated gauntlet, Londes turned his head and saw two of his comrades lay there.
He didn't care about their conditions or the blood, organs, and flesh they all lay in.
Today he had been at death's door and it was a horrible esthetic he didn't even want to imagine again, so he did everything just so he wouldn't die in any terrifying way.
He didn't even ask for it before answering, so as not to annoy this terrifying apostle of Slaughter.
Gazing at the faces of the two, Londes breathed a sigh of relief. Why? Because the person was among the two lying there.
Pointing at his commanding officer while frantically Nodding his head, Londes hoped this was enough to be killed fast and without pain.
The terrifying being looked at the one he was pointing and nodded its head and then spoke again.
"Okay, you can sit outside of the bloody mess, but just outside and don't move from there."
Londes nodded, finally breathing a breath of relief, it seemed he still could come out of this Hellhole alive.
Trying to stand up, Londes realized that his legs felt wrong.
For the first time since waking up, he looked down at his body and his brain blanked out.
There along his body going from top down everything was fine until you reached the crotch area.
Everything below, which would be his legs, didn't resemble legs at all, or rather they were turned countless times around themselves as if someone tried to wring them out.
Just looking at it would mortify even the most hardened veterans.
Then the voice of the being sounded again, "Oh what is wrong? Didn't I tell you to get out of this bloody mess?"
The moment he heard it he realized, everything he thought was just a wild fantasy.
This monster never had any interest in letting him go, or even die a painless death.
"Oh can't walk? Who told you to sleep so deep that I need to twist your legs beyond recognition for you to finally wake up."
The Monster shrugged its shoulder and the mocking smile filled with utter delight at his own misery made Londes, who always thought hell was a place in the afterlife, where vicious people would be punished, understand.
There is no hell in the afterlife, it is here in reality and the monster in front of him was his torturer, making him as miserable as possible, while simply delighting in his pain and agony.
"Then let me help you a little, if you don't want to get out, I guess you liked my treatment after all."
He wanted to deny it, his mind wanted to deny it, his body wanted to deny it, and even his soul wanted to deny it.
But he couldn't utter a single word or struggle even a little bit.
Why? Because his body was scared stiff, his mind went blank with fright and he thought he felt how his soul was trying to leave his body to run.
"Let's have some fun together..." Doji spoke with a friendly tone, but his smile showed his true aim without hiding anything.
Londes was going to experience pain on a level that wouldn't be possible to bear.
.
.
.
The Villagers at the side had their eyes shut and their hands were held over their ears.
Still, it didn't help them from hearing the agonizing screams of pain from Londes and the laughter of pure delight coming from Dōji.
"Two left..." Looking at the mangled mess that once was a human being, a satisfied smile spread over Dōji's face.
"Never expected playing with those guys would be so fun..."
He had thought he would feel at least a little disgust to doing something like this, but he had to say it was pretty fun.
'I mean I never saw them as humans to begin with... yeah if I didn't see them as bugs, I wouldn't be so heartless.'
Comforting himself, he felt he had done nothing wrong.
"You are not even worth to be called bugs, killing your own simply for benefits is in my eyes simply disgusting, and the moment you did so, you have lost even the qualification to be treated like an inferior lifeform..."
These were his honest thoughts when looking at these knights.
"Also I got a lot of information, this will for sure satisfy my Lord..." He mumbled to himself before turning and looking at the other two knights lying there.
"This guy was the one who killed the girls' parents so let's preserve him for her..." He didn't know why, but he had the desire to see what Enri would do with the person who attacked and killed her parents.
"The other... yeah let's keep both for now, don't really know why my Lord wanted me to let some of them live anyway..."
Over time as an Npc, he had forgotten most of the details in the plot anyway, so it was normal not to know why he should keep some alive.
Taking his Guardbottle in hand again, he started to take a couple of sips.
*Gulu* *GuluGulu* *Gulu*
Exhaling with contentment, Dōji felt that he had done a really good job on this day.
'Eradicate evil Knight's, interrogate and torture evil Knight's and on the way saving a few people... not so bad in my books.'
Nodding at himself, he sat down and continued to drink, while waiting for his Lord and Albedo.
It didn't take too long before the two came into his vision, but his Lord now wore a mask and gauntlets, and his robe was completely closed.
'It's probably to hide his Undead nature if I remember correctly...'
Behind them were the two little girls, Enri and Nemu.
As he saw them, Doji decided to wave at them.
But to his surprise, his Lord stopped in his tracks suddenly.
'Why did he stop?' Dōji asked himself.
.
.
.
Ainz and Albedo had taken the sister's with them after modifying their memories so that Ainz had always worn the Gauntlets, mask and that his robe was closed.
This had cost Ainz a bit of Mana, though this was more so because Ainz was very stingy in general and so he didn't like spending much Mana at all, if not necessary.
They were now walking towards the Village, it was somehow strangely silent on their way.
He had expected the villagers to welcome him at least a little bit, after all, he had sent Dōji ahead to take care of them.
'He didn't kill the villagers as well? No that wouldn't fit him...' Thinking about it, the only possibility that came to mind was that the Villagers were too scared of Dōji to even speak with him.
He could understand their feelings just seconds later when he saw Doji, sitting in a 10-meter circle filled with blood organs and body parts of the Knight's, drinking leisurely as if he were sitting in a normal bar.
He unconsciously froze on the spot, 'Fuck... I forgot, this guy sees battle and Slaughter as delightful and... especially torture...'
Ainz saw a mangled piece of meat which probably was once a complete human being and couldn't help but take a look at the villagers.
These poor people were pale white, like a sheet of paper, their pupils and bodies were trembling without stopping.
"Haaa..." Ainz turned to the girls, "You should take your sister away, this isn't something a child her age should see."
Hearing the seriousness in his voice, Enri nodded and then lifted Nemu in her arms, walking away after speaking her thanks again.
Ainz then walked over to Dōji with Albedo first, the guy was waving at them since the moment they came into his view.
"My Lord, this here is the person who killed the girls' parents, I thought she would want to get rid of him herself."
Dōji's voice rang out before Enri could go far and she staggered for a moment, she had seen the faces of the villagers and she herself wasn't better earlier when she saw the Warrior who was with her savior make the head of a grown man together with the helmet explode with his bare hands.
But the words she just heard made her stagnate for a moment, her sister also realized that something wasn't right.
Enri lowered her Head and asked Nemu, "Nemu, can you wait for your big sister for a moment? Big sister needs to do something very important."
The little Nemu looked at her elder sister's gentle but serious face and nodded, "I'm going to go into the Village head house until you are ready."
Enri sat Nemu down and the little girl jumped away, while Enri turned around and walked in the direction of Ainz and the others.
Ainz was looking at the man pointed at by Dōji and nodded, "Doji take the two out of there."
Doji nodded and took the two people still alive out of the Hellscape. The moment he did so, Ainz stretched his hand towards the place.
[Fireball]
[Fireball]
[Fireball]
He cast [Fireball] Three times, turning the ten-meter circle of bloody hell into a ten-meter circle of charred ground.
Dōji saw this and then looked at Ainz while scratching his chin, "Did I do something wrong, my Lord?"
Ainz shook his head and asked, "Did you get any information from the one you interrogated?"
"Lord Ainz saw through me immediately..." A thick smile appeared on Dōji's face and he told what Londes had told him to have a less painful death.
It was a bit much information for them because they weren't familiar with the regions and country around them at the moment. But it was very good information nonetheless.
"Good Job, Dōji, could I trouble you to stay outside the village for a while the people seem a bit frightened around you."
"No problem" Dōji accepted, there was nothing for him to do here anyway.
"Albedo, go with him and come back after you explained what I told you earlier."
Albedo nodded and the two went away.
Just at this moment, someone else came from behind Ainz, the person coming was of course Enri, with a gaze that seemed like she had made a decision, which wasn't easy.
