A group of bullies

Both young men thought for a second before Sam answered:

"All of them were in high hopes before coming here. However, as soon as they arrived, they went through such n ordeal. On top of that when we found them it wasn't hard to guess that we found some opportunity. All of this might also play a big role, adding jealousy and disappointment."

"Yes, this makes sense… Anything else?"

Bai Jingshen looked at Sam, as he didn't have anything to add. His brother thought for a while before slightly shaking his head.

"Ok that's it than. Thank you, guys. You helped us a lot. I will tell the doctor about our conversation just now."

"Sure, no problem."

"Good then I will get back to work now. Maybe we can meet sometime?"

Met with Kayleen's question, Bai Jingshen had to think about the things he planned for his near future. Although he wanted to prioritize his cultivation, his friends still had a big part in his life. Therefore, he answered after a second:

"Yes, sounds good. I will text you soon. I planned to take on a mission after a little bit of training, so let's meet up before that."

"Ok, I'm looking forward to it! Don't forget about the acclimatization period, however. We might soon be sent back to the Rising Force World for two weeks."

Bai Jingshen really just remembered about those circumstances. From what he had been told, a cultivator would unconsciously feel if the world's laws would send them back soon. However, since going though the third elven trial this feeling had been greatly diminished for him. He was sure he could stay in this world for a few months without problems. Now as Kayleen reminded him, he contemplated raiding a few more secret realms, searching for similar opportunities. However, he soon rejected this thought. Such opportunities could only be hoped for, but never sought out.

"I will keep it in mind."

After planning to meet up in the future, Kayleen led the two young men to the door again. They said their goodbyes as Bai Jingshen and Sam left the PTC. Now with nothing to do, the two young men naturally decided to go back to training.

Sam had already realized that his good brother desired to get stronger at a rapid pace. Therefore, he knew he couldn't slack off, or Bai Jingshen would leave him in the dust. However, as someone with a special water related constitution, Sam had already realized that his cultivation speed in the mountain was slower than at the Sleeping Lake Forest. Although Thobar Bionics had training grounds filled with water elemental Qi, they unfortunately costed contribution points. Therefore, Sam was even more eager to go on missions than his good brother. He already knew that he might spend most of his time away from the company.

As Sam was making his own plans, the two young men soon arrived at the training grounds again. Just as they entered the main hall, they could hear ugly laughter coming from within.

"What's going on Junior Brother Torren. You think you found some loser friends and suddenly become defiant? I tell you what. We will stop if you tell us where this Bai Jingshen went."

As soon as the two young men saw what was going on here, they grit their teeth as their anger erupted. While Sam balled his fists and ran over towards the fighting rings, Bai Jingshen's face suddenly took on an icy calmness. Killing intent could be felt in his eyes, as the air around him seemingly turned colder. Although this was only a friction of the White Illusion Emperor's killing intent, any enemy who saw him like this would in his previous life would shiver in fear.

Bai Jingshen's icy gaze focused on the man who just spoke. This was a member of the elite program he hadn't seen before. Together with his friend they surrounded a fighting ring in which a young teen fought against a training robot. However, it could be seen that this robot wasn't adjusted to the teen's strength. Each punch hit the teen's body, delivering injury after injury. This teen was naturally Torren, who had blood dripping from a serious wound on his head, while lying on the ground.

Although the training robot stopped its assault multiple times, the surrounding men would turn it on again, so it delivered another punch before stopping. Meanwhile they were mocking the miserable Torren, as Stormspear and a few friends were telling them to stop.

Feeling a weird chill on his back the leading young man slowly turned around. Fear suddenly gripped his heart as he met Bai Jingshen's eyes. As he was distracted, Sam jumped into the fighting ring, dragging Torren out of it.

Seeing Bai Jingshen slowly coming closer, the leading man and his friends stood closer together as they tried to gather their courage. Finally, they managed to open their mouths:

"W-Who are you? Stop tight there. You know fighting is forb…"

The red-haired man only managed to talk this far as his jaw suddenly dislocated. Bai Jingshen appeared in front of him, drawing surprised exclamations from the young elites in this room. Stormspear quickly took a step forward as he tried to warn Bai Jingshen:

"Junior Brother, stop. Fighting is forbidden without issuing an official challenge."

The former emperor however simply ignored him. Although he didn't now Torren for a long time, he still liked his young, curious roommate a lot. Seeing him bullied by a group of adult men, Bai Jingshen let his emotions free reign. He didn't hold back as punches rained down on the bully. If someone took a closer look, they would realize that this man soon had the same injuries as Torren. A few seconds later he landed on the ground and stopped moving while Bai Jingshen turned towards the rest of this group.

"Is it fun to bully a child?! How dare you call yourselves elite! I would be ashamed if I had to associate with you."

With those words Bai Jingshen readied his fists and punched out towards the nearest assailant.

Suddenly a big fist met Bai Jingshen's punch, stopping him is his tracks. A big, muscular man with a wild grin appeared before him. Pushing Bai Jingshen back with his hand, he laughed loudly as he exclaimed:

"Ferocious! You are that Bai Jingshen? Good, good. First you kick me out off the top 50, then you beat up my cousin. You have the guts. But do you dare to fight me."

Bai Jingshen analyzed his opponent, felling a wild aura around him. From the way he talked he should be someone well known among the young elites. The experienced emperor however only felt disdain for this posturing idiot. What did his top 50 have to do with Torren. Obviously, this man completely disregarded the boy whimpering to the side as Sam treated his injuries.

Bai Jingshen looked his man dead in the eyes, before readying his Boundless Illusion Steps. Just as he wanted to teach his opponent a lesson, a powerful aura suddenly spread through the training grounds.

All the young men began to tremble as they turned towards the door. There, a seemingly young man just entered. He wasn't dressed like a typical cultivator at all, as he wore a black cap, a simple, white t-shirt, and comfy looking black trousers. However, in Bai Jingshen's opinion this man didn't need any obvious signs of being a cultivator, as the powerful aura spreading through the room was prove enough.

Since the newly arrived man deliberately showed his cultivation, Bai Jingshen was fairly certain that he was still at the Gene Activation Realm but could break through at any time. This was definitely the strongest Nascent Soul Realm cultivator he had seen until now.

Under the nervous gazes of the surrounding elite student this man made his way towards Bai Jingshen. Although he had a relaxed, gentle smile on his face, Bai Jingshen couldn't relax judging from the uneasy young elites around him. After a few seconds this man stood in front of Bai Jingshen, observing the fighting scene, before he finally began to talk:

"Let me introduce myself. I am Manager Borgi, I'm responsible for the elite program. You should be Bai Jingshen, right. You came here, directly rushed into the Rising Genius List and beat up your peers. Not bad. Care to tell me what happened?"

Form Manager Borgi's tone Bai Jingshen couldn't understand if this man was angry or generally praising him. The young man however didn't feel guilty about anything that happened, so he confidently answered:

"Those cowards were bulling my roommate, so I beat them up. Simple as that."

"Hmm… that's indeed unbecoming of young elites. Why do you guys always have to create trouble for me."

The group of bullies shook at those words. Everyone who stayed in the elite program for a while knew that the manager hated to be troubled. His cultivation method suited his lazy demeanor. Therefore, everyone who troubled him essentially slowed down his cultivation. Although in reality this didn't really hinder his progress, as his rapid advancement only happened in seclusion, but he still hated to leave his room. The young men fearfully stared at the thinking manager, praying for a lenient punishment. Finally, Manager Borgi brought down his verdict:

"Everyone involved this time, safe for the young boy, will be deducted one hundred contribution points. The initial group will be sent to the mines for two months. Bai Jingshen will have to accept a fight against Boiling Destruction tomorrow."

After saying all of this, Manager Borgi seemingly lost interest in the situation as he turned around and left the room. The group of bullies'' faces turned pale, indicating that two months I the mines seemed to be a harsh punishment.

The tense situation was suddenly interrupted by unbridled laughter, as Boiling Destruction exclaimed:

"Who would have thought that the manager is on my side tis time. Just you wait newcomer, you will lose your ranking tomorrow!"
