Chapter: 6 - Excursion To Hell

[ A/N: I have no idea if I will finish this or not, I could make many excuses as to why I just neglected to upload additional chapters but quite honestly it boils down to the fact I am incredibly lazy along with the fact that every time I upload 4-8 chapters of something I always think of another idea killing the mood for something like this book. My announcement chapter I made was entirely true though after that I lost motivation for writing this, if it is continued further than this chapter then updates between those chapters will be somewhat infrequent, I do apologize if that disappoints people. ]

After Diablo and I returned from the skirmish we had with the Demi-Humans, something dawned on me and realizing what it was made me want to curse my idiocy for not thinking of it sooner. What I realized was something ingrained into our race as Primordials. All of us have this, but no one else from YGGDRASIL. No demon-raced players had this ability.

The ability is based on the colour of each of us, we all belong to a lineage of demons and the primordials are the highest existence those in lore who have lived the longest, other groups follow them each separated into different classes named after noble ranks.

The higher the noble rank, the more potent the demon is at fighting. The longer the demon has lived, the more experience that said demon has accumulated in hell fighting against all of our lineages. We all have hundreds of demons that have a multitude of skills that could work well in an invasion scenario.

While we primordials are insanely powerful for player standards and can act as a one-man army individually, we could be strengthened even more with a possible standing army at our beck and call.

Launching an invasion of this new world is enticing. It will give us a buffer zone where all business that involves the continent will be directed away from the ice continent. The only thing we're missing is information on other countries on the continent.

Hopefully, that can be gathered after I visit the state of hell and get some spies out in the world gathering important information.

[ Guy Crimson ]"Diablo, I have an idea, but I will explain in detail when I return... Testa is in charge while I am gone, though I shouldn't be long, " I say, surprising him.

[ Diablo ]"You know I hate it when you do that, " he says in retort to my statement.

[ Guy Crimson ]"Oh shush, I am not that bad, " I say before casting a special teleportation spell, allowing me to cross to this particular dimension.

*Hells Gate*

Instantly, I am transported to what is pretty obviously the total opposite of the Ice Continent, I am standing close to a lava fall similar to a waterfall just... warmer, there is no sun or starlight whatsoever, and the only light comes from the deathly heat of this place.

Rivers of fire and lava litter every possible inch of this hellish landscape. Only a few places have actual walkable land, and in the distance are demons fighting each other for the fun of fighting. The environment is even more inhospitable than even Muspelheim was back in YGGDRASIL.

The heat, while it is hot as you could imagine, has zero effect on me, I have no lingering effects that give me any debuff, which is nice to know.

Each of these demons has a class associated with them as I previously mentioned, they increase in strength with their overall age and start from the Late Modern Species (Chevalier) which are anywhere from 0 ~ to 30 years old.

The next up from that is the Modern Species (Baronet), which are 30 ~ 100 years old.

The next up from that is the Early Modern Species (Baron), which are 100 ~ 400 years

Medieval Species (Viscount) 400 ~ 1000 Years

Ancient Species (Count) Above 1000 Years

The next three all have lived around the same amount of time and tend to be above 3000 Years, they are the Pre-historic Species (Marquis), the Pre-historic Species (Duke), and the Pre-historic Species (Arch Duke).

Lastly is us the Primordials who are born during the dawn of time before the creation of heaven and earth. Even though it is nabbed from an anime, this is the situation we find ourselves in and is in a strange way our history or at least what these demons see us as.

That is how I hope they will see us. If they do not revere us, then it could be a problematic endeavour to attempt to build a standing army of pure demons.

Demons also have their own evolutionary stages, at least they did in the anime, how that will differ here could be interesting given we never had much of a use for summoning these guys back during YGGDRASIL That was mainly down to their level as it can be somewhat inconsistent. Some ranged from pointless, like level 50-60, equivalent to throwing spitballs at level 100 characters.

Some more powerful ones could range from 70-80 or even 90-95, though none achieved the highest level, that of course being 100. The nice thing about this is the fact that in the new world, we all find ourselves in the demons we summon from our lineage. Even lower levels will stomp most of the opponents we face.

This gives us the breathing room we need to find information on the possibility of players like us in this world and eliminate them if they are a threat to us. Conquering the world is sort of a side goal to the grand scheme of this. Then again, not everyone in the new world can be as weak as humans and demihumans.

Suddenly, a demon of my lineage interrupts my musing thoughts, sleek build with the look of a butler not too dissimilar from Diablo though, of course, much weaker and possesses the signature red-coloured hair befitting his lineage. The demon is the strongest of all the colour lineages, quite a feat for an archdemon. If one estimated him in the New World, he would be around 95-100.

[ ??? ]" Rouge to what do we owe the visit?" the demon asks, looking up and meeting my eyes still in his knelt position.

[ Guy Crimson ]"Assemble my lineage. I will summon you all when I have informed the other Primordials," I demand in lew of keeping up appearances.

[ Guy Crimson ]"I name you Laplace, carry out my will, " I gifted him with a name to test if the laws are any different in this realm.

[ Laplace ]"Thank you, milord!" he says before teleporting out of sight.

Laplace had evolved into a Demon Peer, making him even more potent than a level 100 player, though still many times weaker than the other Primordials.

After seeing the state of hell and its extremely profitable for the future, I decided to return to inform the others.

[ Guy Crimson]'Testa, can you assemble the Primordials? we have something beneficial to discuss, ' I asked through the use of the message skill.

[ Testarossa ] 'Of course, Guy, I'll do so immediately. See you soon, ' she replies before cutting the message skill.

I made my way back to the Ice Continent after discovering this large boon, the other 6 Primordials were already waiting for me and had gathered ready for a meeting.

[ Guy Crimson ] "I called you because I had a hunch that there was a nice bonus that goes along with our race, and I was correct, I teleported to hell where all of us have a dedicated lineage of demons waiting for us to call them if we do not the people in the New World may be able to summon them," I said informing them of my discovery shocking all but one.

[ Testarossa ] "You beat me to it, I had the same hunch and was going to request to check if it was true but alas you got there first... what do you plan with them as I imagine they will completely destroy this worlds power scaling?" she says sipping from a teacup.

[ Diablo ] "Wait... does that mean the ones from the Light Novel are in hell... you know Venom, Moss, Cien and Agera?" Diablo asks obviously hoping for that to be true.

[ Guy Crimson ] "I never checked if they were there so I can't confirm that, and to answer your question, Testa even weak demons in hell would be able to wipe most of the high-ranking fodder of everyone on that continent, I also found that you can name them exactly as shown in the anime and light novel, it increases their power and loyalty as we already are aware, " I finish snapping my fingers and in doing so making a body out of high-quality materials, the next second Laplace appears and dives into the body shaping it to his needs.

[ Guy Crimson ] "This is Laplace, I named him as I mentioned previously, he is the strongest out of everyone's demons and is easily capable of eliminating a level 100 player or NPC in 1v1 combat, now that he has a body he can stay in what can be dubbed the Overworld or in other words exactly where we are standing," I finish as I turn to Laplace. "You may return and finish my prior order" I commanded in an authoritative tone.

[ Laplace ]"Yes milord!" he says before disappearing into a cloud of smoke.

[ Guy Crimson ] "I think it goes without saying but I will do so anyway, visit hell and organize your lineage in whatever way you see fit, if you find a suitable demon who can carry it out like Laplace you may have them do so, this is to be done immediately! " I said grinning ear to ear along with the other Primordials, they all dissipated into smoke teleporting to hell and leaving me alone.
