Chapter 18.

•Overhaul's POV•

"What if we ate at a restaurant?" Y/N had asked me. And my response was rather bland.

I had been working all day, and I was laying on the sofa in my office. Y/N was sat opposite me.

"Restaurant's are full of germs." I said, annoyance seeping throughout my words as my eyes remained shut.

"What about a picnic?" She said after a moment and straddled me. My eyes flung open and I peered at her. This isn't like her, since when did she become so bold?

She placed her hands on my chest, and slid her hands up the shirt until her fingers were resting under the collar.

I finally looked away and added. "Picnic's tend to be outside, therefore having even more germs." I noticed out of the corner of my eye that her face was screwing up in frustration.

"Can't you see I just want you to myself?" She hissed, gripping tightly on my shirt now. I shifted, until I threw her underneath me with some force. She winced lightly - as the sofas aren't the most comfortable and soft.

"Nobody gets that. Not even you, Y/N." I hissed, before I slid off her and adjusted my shirt. I glanced back, and she had gone. Not long before I received a phone call from the same person. "What is it now, Y/N?" I mumbled, sounding rather exasperated.

"What do you mean?" She had said after a moment.

"I already saw you a couple of hours ago, stop playing dumb. Do you want another round, or did you butt dial me?" I continued on.

"What are you talking about? I haven't seen you for at least a week." She hissed into the phone, sounding a little pissed.

"You clearly came to me, all dolled-up, wanting to use my sofa for something more than a little explicit." I sounded almost amused now, and heard her breath catch.

"Kai, I never doll-myself-up when I meet up with you." She whispered.

I remained quiet on the other line for a moment, before I had mumbled. "Then, who was it?"

"Definitely not me, dumbass." She hissed again, before she hung up and left me slightly dumbfounded.

A shapeshifter? Going after me?

That made me laugh out loud, before I walked out of the office and had returned a few minutes later with a coffee.

This'll be something of a blast.
