Chapter 8 - Meeting Father in law
Aria POV
It's been 2 months since the duel with Grid.
Aria was in the desert training her skills against giant worms.
BOOOOOOMMMM!!
As Aria flips in the air to land on a rock.
Aria: Wow, you guys are really annoying me.
I pulled out a <Normal Grade Sword> as I need to work on my skills.
I channeled magic energy into the blade of the sword as I sliced them all with slight motion as they all were cut in pieces.
Aria: Well, that's it for a workout.
I teleported to the woods near Winston Castle as I got there I saw Grid trying to sucker my girl into paying more.
Aria: Yo Grid, are you trying to get more money from my woman?
Grid turned to recognize the voice as he saw me as Irene blushed at the mention her woman.
Grid: What are you doing here?!
Aria: I'm here to see Irene of course, seeing you was just a bonus.
I walked up wearing a red/black dress, my hair curled up, wearing jewelry which were items that did not leave her defenseless but dangerous in fact.
Irene: Hello Aria.
Aria: Hey Irene, so I heard about the seven servants of the Yatan Church, it will be fine as I know Yura, she doesn't want to do it as they have something she needs.
Irene: I see but I can't let them have there way either with there crimes.
Aria: I'm not getting involved so I'm just telling you but also just pay Grid, if he needs the money then it must be important.
Irene: Very well, we accept.
As Grid got payed and left I stayed to meet my Fathe- in-law as he walked out.
Irene: Father, this is the brave woman who saved me, Lady Aria.
I bowed.
Aria: It's an honor to meet you Duke Steim.
Duke Steim: I hear you are strong but why should I hand my daughter's hand to you?
Aria: Cause I will protect her and always be by her side in good or evil, light and dark as I will never betray her trust in me.
Duke Steim was surprised in the look in my eyes that I was serious.
Duke Steim: Very well, I'll allow it.
Aria: Thank you Duke Steim.
I smiled at a blushing Irene as she is not my first wife to which I have others as well.
