Dinner, Better Understanding

Leon left the town and went to the smithy. He needed to create more <Shadow Blink> rune throwing knives. The rune was one of the weaker instant displacement runes. It had a low range of 20 meters and only one person could pass through it.

But it was still one of the most useful at lower levels. As it was an easier to make rune and had the lowest requirement for instant displacement runes.

Leon entered the smithy and walked to the desk.

Miss Sasha who was minding her own business saw Leon and stood up. She then led him to his room. She then walked to a table and took out objects from a spatial ring.

"These are the things you asked for. We have <Shadow Stone> and mid grade quality blood of a shadow beast. We didn't have any <Enhancing Rune Fluid> but we did have <Basic Rune Fluid>."

"It's fine, get me a shadow element fruit as well." Leon said as be looked at the materials.

Sasha nodded. She then walked out and quickly came back with it. She gave Leon a black fruit and then left.

Leon closed and locked the door. He then took the shadow stone and started to melt it.

He already expected the smithy to not have <Enhancing Rune Fluid> it wasn't something particularly rare, it was just that it was in high demand and was usually never in stock.

By using <Basic Rune Fluid> and the shadow fruit extract he would be able to create a similar effect of the <Enhancing Rune Fluid> for only the shadow element, it would also be weaker. But because the blood used to form the rune would the higher quality so he would be able to still form a working rune.

Leon quickly molded the shadow stone into four knives. He then took the shadow beast blood and the basic rune fluid and the fruit. He first squeezed the fruit dry into the <Basic Rune Fluid> he mixed the two. then he used the shadow blood to draw the <Shadow Blink> runes on the knives.

He looked at them and was satisfied. He ordered for more sheathed. As he waited for the sheath, he used the remaining blood of the shadow beast to draw a <Tier 2> rune called <Stealth>. It made the knives harder to sense and if the rune was activated while the user held them, they would be hard to sense as well.

Leon hung all four knives to the right of his waist and left the shop. He walked out of the smithy and saw that the sky was dark.

"Pace and his family is suppose to come for dinner today."

Leon entered his house.

"David you have broken through again, well done! Your almost as strong as me now!" A loud voice could be heard.

"Andrew don't get to full of yourself, I was as strong or stronger then you! Did taking a trip ruin your memory, did you forget that time I beat you up so bad you had to Lay in bed for three days!"

"That happened when we were 6 years old, I barely left my bed then anyway! Not seeing me for so long has clearly ruined your memory, let freshen it up a bit by telling all your defeats. I defeated you when you were 15 in the tournament."

"Bullsh*t! I didn't even show up. How does that count as a loss?!"

"It was my win, no?" Andrew said with a laugh.

Leon walked in and smiled as Pace, Andrew and David saw him.

Sandra also heard the door and came to check, "Leon why did you come so late today? Did you forget that Pace was coming?"

"No, I just lost track of time. Mom I'll help you with setting up the rest."

"The tables set, we were just waiting for you."

Tania also came out and saw Leon, she squinted and felt a faint resemblance to something but seeing Leon smile and walk and hug here she forgot about it.

"Aunt Tania! You've finally come back."

"Yes we came back yesterday, Leon how have you been? Have you still practicing painting?"

Leon smiled but had no idea what she was talking about. He had seen painting in his wardrobe, but since he hadn't seen any pieces of work he thought they were just their.

"So I was also taught painting from Tania. She was known for her art in my past life."

"Sorry, aunt Tania I've been a little busy." Leon said.

"Leon, don't take painting lightly, You need to continuously practice for perfection-"

"Now, Now Tania no need to be so hard on the boy just after you came back, You heard David and Sandra Leon has been training now. He needs to focus on that until he can become a summoner, right champ?"

Seeing Leon's blank expression he said, "You don't recognise your old Uncle Andrew?"

Leon laughed, "Sorry, Uncle Andrew I think you grew even taller. I have indeed been training now, I think I'll form my soul seed soon."

Pace also got up and gave Leon a bear hug, "Leon your body has gotten stronger, just you wait, when you awaken your soul seed big brother Pace here will take you around and help you get stronger."

The six continued to converse and then had dinner. Eventually finished dinner and a few laters Leon felt tired and left. He said good bye to the others and went to his room.

Pace also said goodbye, He had to go and meet with the Clan Head on a meeting with the Inferno clan.

Finally the four parents were left.

The mood suddenly changed now The kids had left. It became a little melodramatic.

"David, You and Sandra have come so far, If anything happens don't worry to much. I'll talk with the Clan Head." Andrew said.

"Right Sandra, No need to worry to much, everything will be fine."

They never said what was going to happen, but it was known by the four of them that it was about Leon and Sandra being Cripples.

"Andrew and Tania, me and Sandra have been thinking its time we left the Clan. Leon's a talented and smart boy he just wasn't born talented in becoming a summoner."

"David, Leon is like my child as well. He saved Pace, when he was young, if he hadn't done so, it would be Pace that would be in this situation..." Andrew knew he said something's shouldn't have.

"Andrew, stop bringing that up, You have already long since paid back what Leon had done, it was the past, forget about it..."

Leon in his room listening to the conversation from his room using the slaughter qi to enhance his hearing.

"What? I saved Pace somehow... I think I know what their talking about."

Leon had thought something was strange the moment he had elemental energy enter his body. Then he had been able to feel a connection With all elements, other Then the fire element. This had surprised him as this meant that all his affinities from his past life had come to this life. Although they weren't strong, having them before a soul book formed was a game changer.

Elemental affinities also grew with the summoner, it was the Summoners measure of talent in a certain element. In his last life Leon had been born with <Grandmaster> affinity for the fire element which was thought to be impossible. Before his birth the highest affinity that a human could be born with was <Master>.

But Leon knew that wasn't all he had also been born with an affinity to a mysterious element. And his affinity to it was even stronger.

Then it was as he cultivated his affinities grew and broke through. It was just that the affinities of the Fire and mysterious element grew much faster then the other element. He had even reached a bottle neck in most of them.

But now that he had them before summoning soul book he could let them grow again.

The thing that surprised him more was that he had lost his fire affinity. If he went back in time, his affinities shouldn't have been lost. Not even weakened rather it should have grown stronger as now he had two souls with high fire affinity.

But he didn't have fire affinity at all. He didn't find anything in the first 5 years of this life that could have cause this so had to be after it.

So hearing them say that he saved Pace, Leon filled in the holes himself. Pace was much more talented in the Fire element. He had lost his talent in the Fire element. So it was likely that he lost his talent to him.

"Affinties can't be forcefully transferred so I should have willingly transferred it to him for some reason..." Leon sighed.

Soon Andrew and Tania left. David and Sandra also went to sleep. Leon got out of his bed.

"Time to finish what I started." Leon jumped out of the window and made his way to the treasury in the pond.
