Courting Favor

Returning to the office, Emma Hart happened upon Sophia Greenwood, who was on her way out. 

"Emma, perfect timing. I was just about to call you. Did you get the purchase?" Sophia asked, her heels clicking on the floor as she prepared to leave, her bag slung over her shoulder.

Handing over the items, Emma nodded, "Got it."

Sophia Greenwood's eyes fell on the box, and while asking, she planned to open the box and take a look. After all, the person she was going to give it to this time was an important customer of the company, and it was definitely not something that ordinary things could handle.

The moment Sophia opened the box and saw its contents, her brow furrowed. "This…" The item was eerily familiar, reminiscent of something Damien Sterling had purchased during a vacation in England with her, acquired at an auction. How could it have ended up with Emma?
