286 The Summoning that Shook the World

Ikarat bounded out of his seat. He put his fixation on display, brandishing a grin filled with anticipation and greed. 

"Very well! Proceed!" 

Elenia nodded. She quickly pierced one of the goblin eyes while keeping her crest turned away from the approaching king. 

Then, once a drop of blood fell onto the ink-drawn magic circle, both of them felt their heartbeats accelerate to unexplored speeds. 

"Fire?! What is this?" 

The king spoke up out of reflex while Elenia was dumbstruck. 

Before their eyes, the entire Hell Hound pelt erupted into crimson flames. There was suddenly a bonfire in the middle of the king's office!

Yet, less than three seconds later, the flames consumed themselves into nothingness. 

And in place of the bonfire pelt, a beast stood on four legs, looking back at the bewildered young noblewoman. 

Ikarat was the first to speak out of impulsive bafflement. 

"... Mag... nificent."
