The waning glimmer of despair trickled into the pits of Rizz's pupils. In contrast, the growing flame of hope brightened Rohgalia's eyes.

Rizz was back on his feet that instant, smacking one hand down on the desk while stabbing a finger toward the princess's face. 

"Why in the absolute fuck would I take an international criminal with me to Grebeil? To Umbaarz of all places?! Miss Princess, you're in waaay over your head here."

Miss Rogue crossed her arms and leaned back into her seat. Rather than douse her hopeful ambition, those questions only stoked the flames into a glaring bonfire.
