269 Scuffed Legacies of the Elves & Dwarves

Compared to the goblin's brazen chuckles, Miss Rogue slumped deeper into her chair with muddled groans. She was forced to sink into her left side now that the right armrest was missing.

"Rizz… You said your name was Rizzio McKlank Von Thong, right?"

"The one and only!" The proud goblin jabbed his thumb into his chest. "Why do you ask? Does that name remind you of anything? Of any old legends or fairy tales–"

"No. I've never heard of such a ridiculous name in all my life."

The squirrel woman was long past the point of speaking carefully. Rogue's thoughts were too tumultuous to spare any cranial capacity for empathy.

Rizz, on the other hand, laughed off the harsh answer with a disdainful, lazy glance. "Ba, ha, ha! Right, right. It's just been too long. Even the gods were forgotten by the world."

"However…" Rogue interjected, slowly tapping a finger on her lone armrest like a metronome with a dying battery.
