Sourness dripped from Sabina's opposing frown. "What idiotic lesson is worth risking our lives?!"

"That's the point I need to teach you, Sabina…" 

Sighing, Rizz covered his eyes with his hand, "If you want to be the strongest saber ranger, then you have to learn to risk your life."

"But–"

"That goes for every adventuring occupation!" Rizz cut through her interjection with a shout. "Without becoming familiar with that risk, you'll never reach your full potential.

"But if you're deadset on not going with me, that's fine. Consider your trial failed. I'll take back my bag and go it alone from here. Cause that'll prove you're not the ally I need after all."

When she hesitated to reply or move from where she stood, Rizz turned his back to her. He cracked a crooked grin. 

*You'd better not fail me, girl!* Rizz thought.
