Chapter 45

My hands shake as I go through the speech, and all the activities I must do as one of the main donators. Where is Madison. I told her to leave… to get out of my eyes. In moment of anger, moment of shock. I called her as soon as finished the speech but she never picked up. And she promised not to do that again. In all honesty, this time I understand.

Adam informs me he drove Duncan to the house. Duncan! The little prick. But not Madison. I’m on my way out when Drake grabs my arm.

“Piper is half crazy looking for Madison, do you know where she is?”

Piper joins us, her face a guilty mask. Shit. I hoped she at least got some comfort from her.

“I reacted wrongly,” she confesses.

“Did she say where she might go?” I ask solemnly.

“No.”
