Dainty Promise

Finally, bringing her presentation to an end, Paige smiled. The room instantly lit up in applause as her audience appreciated her. Once again, she had proved herself worthy of her position.

She could see from the faces of the investors how sold out they were. Their applause and smiles said it all.

From where she stood, she met the CEO's gaze. He was a middle-aged man with a downcut. Though he was sixty plus, his grey her which spakes like silver, compliments him. Making him age like a fine wine. Impulsively, the corners of his lips curved into a smile– slightly giving her a thumbs up.

Paige knew how much he dots on her. He had once mentioned his intention of marriage between her and his son whom she knew nothing about but unfortunately, she was engaged. But that didn't cease his love for her. And she does her best to make it up to him in the best way. Especially, contributing to the company's growth.

In about an hour, the meeting was over. With a sigh, Paige slammed into her chair– relief for not flopping the presentation. Not long had she settled in, a knock at the door nestled her ears.

"Come in, " she said, staring expectantly at the door– knowing she had no appointment or meeting with any of the teams. As the door slowly pushed open, Kayden stepped in.

"Mr Lewis asks for you," she informed.

Paige glanced at her desk, scanning the documents that needed her signature. "Did he say why?" she asked, knowing she had to step out soon to meet Tania together with Nolan. When it comes to themes with designs, he was bad at it.

"No," she muttered precisely.

"Okay, Kayden. Thank you."

With a nod, her assistant strolled out. Briefly, after Kayden left, she dashed out to the CEO's office. Standing in front of the white-tainted glass door, she rasped a knock on it.

"Come in, " a delightful voice called from inside. With his words, Paige stepped in– slowly closing the door behind her. Mr. Lewis was more like a father figure to her than a boss.

"Here I am to answer for the great sermon," she muttered amidst smiles as she trod towards his desk.

"I hope I didn't interrupt anything," he showed Paige a seat in the sitting area of his office while he rounded his desk– meeting her.

She settles on one of the couches while Mr. Lewis does the same. "Here," he pushes his hand into his pocket, "I have something for you." He pulls out a white envelope with a floral-scented stamp on it– holding it mid-air towards Paige.

Her brows furrowed with a smile as she reached for it. " What's this?" She took it, turning it over as she scanned it all over– curious.

"Aren't you going to open it?"

Intuitively, Paige's brows lifted, "Can I?" she snapped and Mr. Lewis gestured for her to go ahead. Carefully and slowly, she unsticks the envelope, pulling out a ticket-like card. It didn't look like a movie ticket, a concert, or any familiar ticket she could guess. "What's this?" she checks it all over once again. Including the envelope.

"My wedding gift to you." he snapped, suddenly throwing Paige into a state of confusion.

"My wedding gift?" she studies his face, hoping to be enlightened about this early gift. But there was nothing more, nothing less. He just kept smiling. "You'll thank me later."

Paige tilted her head and smiled, "You never cease to amaze me." she commented. "Anyways, thank you." she was skeptical.

Being done with what he wanted to give her, Mr. Lewis allowed Paige to go back to her work. She strolled the aisle to her office, checking the envelope. Clueless on its use.

Being an upcoming model with fewer links in this line of profession, Paige managed to get Itzel a contract with TINY TASSEL INC as the face of their products. Though there are others, Itzel is their center stage but it looks like her older sister wants more than that.

It's more like she is out to instigate her, using Nolan. Noticing how he looks at her. The difference was clear and Paige was just that naive and clueless. Thanks to her, she can meet up with him.

She had cleared all her schedules just to have time with him, her sister's fiancee. The one whom Paige will be wedded to just in a week. They were out roaming the streets of NYC despite Paige's earnest request to Nolan to meet with Tania. It looked like he had forgotten all about it.

Itzel wasn't able to go home and change so she wore one of Paige's dresses though she could have just bought one. She was all hyped up being with Nolan. Though they were a few blocks away from Nolan's apartment, they had already started making out.

Across from where she sat in the passenger seat, she stared at him like she would swallow him whole. Nolan couldn't help catching glances at her from the corners of his eyes as he drove.

She was teasing him with her body language and he was all for it. Slowly she traces her hand on his thigh systematically. Making him flick at every movement of her fingers as she nears his flap.

Seeing the excitement on his face, she unzips his fly. She smiled seductively at him, slightly biting her lips. Without warning, she took out his prick and started working on it with her hand.

He groaned with soft moans at every stroke. He was already getting hard and Itzel was loving it. Soon, they got to their destination. Nolan's apartment. Parking in an empty bay among the cars, they both rushed out, hot with passion for each other, and headed up.

Pushing into the apartment, they stumble against the walls. Running into whatever is in their way as his hand leaves the button of her shirt and slides down to her hair at the same moment as his lips fiercely connect with hers.

Finally making it to the bedroom, they undress each other, throwing them to the floor. "Just touch me," she whined, arching impatiently against his hand. He couldn't make any of them wait any longer.

He pushes her onto the bed with a smug gaze. Slowly, he brought his middle finger down and slid it gently over her folds. Itzel threw her head back.

"God, yes...Keep going."

He did it again, this time his fingertip slipping between and gathering her wetness. He parted her with two fingers and found her clit, rubbing it in small circles. She cried out against his lips and was lost. The taste of her, the smell of her, the feel of her so close against him, skin to skin. Time and space had no meaning anymore. There was only her."

Of course, as soon as he thought that, she grabbed his hair and dragged him down, pressing all her soft, lush curves against his body. Her skin was hot and damp from the exertion of her orgasm. Her pussy was wet and open, ready for him, begging for him as she spread her legs and reached down to grasp his erection. In his ear, she whispered, 'Hard, please."

During all this, Nolan's phone kept ringing in the pocket of his trousers which was lying stranded somewhere in the room.

Nolan was supposed to meet with Tania earlier before Paige joines them. But then she received a call from Tania about an hour late from their appointed time that Nolan wasn't in. Because of this, she had to rush out earlier than planned.

So tired and exhausted to drive, she called for a chauffeur's services. New York in the afternoon is all chaotic. The streets seem more congested than the sidewalks. The continuous sounds of cars honking at one another pierced through one's ear and the bright yellow taxis overpowered the eyes. Coupled with the beautiful buildings and skyscrapers. But all Paige could focus on was her phone while her car drove through the streets.

She had been trying to get hold of Nolan but to no avail. After several minutes, her car pulled up in the driveway of the cafe where Tania awaited. Asking the chauffeur to hang in the car while waiting for her return, she dashed in.

Paige immediately noticed her at the far corner of the cafe, glancing through a fashion magazine. "I'm so sorry, Tania," she said as she neared her table– settling in one of the seats while setting her bag on the table. Wearing an apologetic gaze.

"And where's Nolan?" Tania snapped.

"Let me call him again," she smiled with anxiety written all over her face. Clicking his number once again, she allowed the phone to ring through. While Tania sat across staring expectantly at her.

After several minutes, the line went dead. Her nervous eyes meet her designer and a sheepish grin spreads across her face. With darted gaze, she tried calling again– trying hard to mask her emotions despite her adrenaline effortlessly at work.
