Chapter 12: In Between

NOW, we are sitting on the 8-seated dining chair. Uncle Toni was ahead of the table, on his right side, is Auntie Jen and kyn was on the left, I was next to kyn and Oliver was next to me next to Oliver was Trevon who was ahead of the table too, and facing uncle Toni, we far from each other.

And it's a good thing the pasta I cooked was too much.

It was awkward for the three of us and I didn’t know if auntie Jen and uncle Toni noticed that but of course, here’s kyn caught her secretly chuckling because of the awkward substance.

I simply glanced at Trevon and I could also see the awkwardness in his expression, but I don’t know about Oliver, he seemed normal to me. Before we went here to the dining area I introduced them to each other, and they shook hands but I could feel their judgment on each other.

Wait! Why do I feel awkward? They are just my friends, with no malice, why do I look like a married woman with an affair? I think I’m going crazy!
