My eyes fluttered open at the sound of a voice that seemed oddly familiar. When I finally realized where I was, I opened my eyes fully only to remember that I am in class.

"Miss Shen, I hoped you enjoyed your sleep." The teacher asked me.

"I actually did, thanks for asking" were my murmuring answer to my teacher.

"What did you say?" She asked starting to get annoyed at my murmuring but I am pretty sure she heard me.

"Nothing ma", I said with a sweet smile. As if on cue, my seatmate and few people sitting near enough to hear what I said at first started laughing. This annoyed Ms Song, our lit teacher and she stomped out of the class complaining of the students character.

I got up stretched my body and sat down bringing out my phone to play some games.

"One of this day, a teacher is going to flip and actually slap you", my friend Mo Sui Sui said coming to stand in front of me.

"A lot has already threatened me telling me that they will not consider the consequences but you know it is just to feel a little better about themselves. They are actually at fault for not leaving me alone, I am already one of the smartest in the school." I told her.

"You are quite amazing. How do you manage to get good grades when you sleep half of the school period," she said.

"If you are done complimenting and scolding me, can I go back to my phone." I told her picking up my headphone to listen to some music in peace. It is last period anyway and the teacher was graceful enough to give us some free time.

I think its time to introduce myself. My name is Shen Tiang Wian, the only daughter of one of the most influential business men in the city and the smartest student in my class. I am also the greatest pain in every teachers wrinkly ass and the envy of many students. I am attending An Xian high school, one of the most prestigious schools. In other words, school of the rich where the students are free to do whatever they want and the teachers are too scared to scold them especially me. Lets just say, my father is so feared that they dare not touch his precious daughter. That is what everyone is made to believe but reality is quite different.

The bell finally rang and I carried my bag heading to my car. I got waved by many people and waved few of them back. My other two friends, Xinran and Ying yin along with Sui sui were already waiting for me beside my car. We enter the car and sped off to go have some fun, it is Friday and we have spare clothes in our bags to change into from this annoying uniform.

I came back home in the evening time. I saw Mrs Shen seated on the couch.

"Young lady, where are you coming from and what abomination are you wearing," she said referring to my crop top and my short-pleated skirt. My so called parents are strong Catholics that are still in the archaic age.

"First off, I am alive so the place I am coming from is none of your business and please go with the flow of the world, we are in the 21st century so Ive got freedom to dress however I want. I am....."

A slap landed in my cheek interrupting my sentence. How do I even manage with you as a daughter, you abominable, stupid and wretched girl. I dont even know why I listened when you insisted that you didnt need a driver, you insolent child.

This will probably leave a visible mark, I said walking out. As I go up the stairs, I see my father at the end of the stair case.

"What the hell are you wearing, he said with his voice booming with anger."
