We are not alone!

Aurora, Nyx and Aaron drank half a gallon of alcohol.

Nyx was resting her head on the bar counter.

Usually, she would have been knocked out cold after drinking so much but today she was surprised at herself that she held on for so long.

Other than being a bit tipsy Nyx is fine, she had enough drink so she stopped drinking and was only resting her head on the counter table with her eyes closed.

As for, Aurora and Aaron they had a glass on their hand.

Both of them were silent.

Taking a sip, Aurora spoke.

"Is she beautiful?"

"Hmm, she is."

"~~~" Silence once more.

"Do you like her?"

"I'm already in love. Liking and loving both are two different things, yes, I love her. I can't get her out of my head! The more I spend time with her, the more I fall for her..." Aaron said clutching his hair with one hand.

"I see..."

Taking a deep breath, Aurora asked with Aaron with a quiver in her voice.

"How are you?"

Gulping down his drink and emptying the glass, Aaron replied.

"I don't know. What do you want me to say, Aurora?"

"..."

"Do you want me to say, how I was living for the past few months? I'm sure, you know that very well. You must have heard from others right?"

"..."

"Or do you mean, how I was doing emotionally? I can't explain much clearly, but I had gone through worse..."

"..."

Aurora knows that it was because of her, they have drifted apart from each other.

The real reason was not because of the successor thing or any other matter.

Both of them are stubborn in their views and the creed that they follow on in their life.

The reason they have drifted apart is that Aurora broke Aaron's trust and have compromised her future for his sake.

Aurora did things behind Aaron's back.

She tried to do everything alone by herself not bothering Aaron for anything.

In the past three years, Aurora saw Aaron's body slowly deteriorate 'cause of his curse of idleness.

She didn't want to give Aaron extra baggage to deal with.

Aurora thought well for her brother's well-being.

They came to know of many things regarding the Sacred families and clans, especially the Blood family in recent years.

The current state of the Blood family is a mess.

Her father, Aiden is being pressured by the branches and the majority are demanding an heir for the Blood Throne.

They are voicing some changes to be made in the Blood family and some old rules to be re-established once more.

Some minor factions are arguing that Aaron will be a great leader and might even surpass his own father, but the majority are dismissing Aaron's value and worthiness because of his physical disabilities.

They are coming with their own candidates for the Blood Throne, challenging the authority of the current patriarch of the Blood family.

Family politics aren't easy as one thinks of, there's more than meets the eye inside the circle of Sacred family and clans.

Aurora withheld some information from Aaron's ears.

In the past three years, there have been more than 20 assassination attempts on their father, Aiden.

Last time, when their mother was in a coma for a month, Aaron almost lost himself.

Since then Aaron has become extremely protective of his family and it's almost on a level of paranoia!

Aurora knows her brother more than himself. If Aaron finds out about the things that have been going on in the shadows, unaware of his knowledge? Then he will do something crazy, which will put his life in danger!

Aurora must not allow Aaron to take much more pressure than he already is shouldering with Nyx.

Nyx has her own problems with the Prince's and its level is similar to what's happening with the Blood family.

If Aaron takes too much pressure from both sides, it's not only him but Nyx too will also be affected by the pressure.

Their psyche is not that strong, their soul will not be able to handle so much pressure!

Both, Aaron and Nyx surely will break.

Aurora cannot let that happen.

That is why Aurora has been working with her mother for the past couple of years in the dark to solve their Shi*ty family drama.

Slowly, Aurora is sowing her plans around the Blood family.

Starting from weeding out the traitors inside A&T corporation.

Getting allies and support inside the Blood family.

Slowly but surely, Aurora is making everyone dance in her palms of her hands.

Aurora is manipulating the fate of her enemies with her fingers all according to her plans.

Aurora knew back then, for her plans to come to fruition. She has to break away from Aaron.

Also, she has to protect him from all possible dangers.

It was not easy for her, but she had to.

She had to do what she thought best for her family, especially Aaron.

Even if it brings pain to both Aaron and herself, she must do what it takes to keep her family safe!

Emptying the glass on her hand Aurora said.

"I understand that you are angry at me, Aaron. But my answer will still be the same as always."

Hearing Aurora, Aaron clenched his jaw.

Aurora can see Aaron is trying to control himself from lashing out on her.

With a resolute expression on her face, Aurora said to Aaron. "I will do what it takes to keep my family safe, even if I have to go against my wishes, my friends and yours, Aaron. That's how I was in my past life, that's how I am in this life. This me Aaron, Weiss Rosaline Mist and Aurora Christina Blood."

Aurora then saw Aaron opening another bottle of liquor.

She watched Aaron drinking, a few glasses of alcohol.

"I know, I know that! But I also want to shoulder the burden you have on yourself, Aurora... We were supposed to do everything together. Isn't that what we promised? Then why, tell me why? Do you think I won't be able to handle it? Am I that weak to you sister!"

It was Nyx who spoke.

Aurora turned to Nyx and saw tears trickle down Nyx's cheeks.

Giving a painful smile to Nyx, Aurora replied.

"No, you are the strongest person I know. I'm weak compared to you."

"Lies!!!" Aaron shouted out.

"If I was strong enough then you wouldn't have to shoulder everything by yourself, sister!" Nyx.

"We drifted apart for what? Do we want to protect our family? How can we protect our family when we don't have our back entrusted to each other to protect? How can I fight the invisible monsters hiding under veil of darkness, if I don't know anything about them? My sister, look at me, us, the people around you. You are not alone, WE ARE NOT ALONE!"

Just as Aaron finished speaking, he raised his arms and gestured Aurora to look around.

Sabastian, Ana, Erisviel, Zulkernyn and Ian showed themselves.

Nyx wiping the tears from her cheeks.

"This is not the Queendom of the Mist, it's our empire that we rule TOGETHER, this is 'Nameless'!"
