Red strings of fate!

Erisviel arrived in front of 'Octo Spectrum', a night club.

It was formerly known as 'Trinity Spectrum' and was under Trinity Crown before Nameless took over.

Erisviel entered the nightclub.

She frowned when the loud music assaulted her ears.

Ignoring everything else, she immediately heads over to the bar section.

Taking a seat at the bar, she said to the barkeep.

"Rav, give me something heavy. It doesn't matter what, as long as I can numb my hearing and focus on my thoughts."

"Here is your 'War Maiden', Boss. It's a drink Boss Aurora taught me, it's the heaviest you can ask for in here.'" Rav placed a cocktail glass on top of the bar counter, it's a regular occurrence to see Erisviel burnt out from overwork.

Taking the glass in her hand, Erisviel took a sip, before drinking it in one go.

She scrunched her face at the drinks burning sensation and the heavy taste as it ran down her throat.

"Tssh... What the fu*k was that! It was awful." Erisviel commented.

Even so, she couldn't help but crave for more.

"Give me another one!" Erisviel ordered the drink once more.

"Hahaha! It's awful at first, but people can't help themselves get addicted to it. That's also the reason we have a limit of one glass per person for this drink. Boss, do you really want another one?" Rav warned Erisviel and waited for her response.

"Don't worry, I know my limits just give me another one before changing it to my usual soft drinks." Erisviel responded before she stretched her neck.

"Okay, here it is."

Taking the glass, she downed the drink in one go.

Erisviel after finishing the drink turned around and looked over to the dance floor.

This very nightclub is where she changed her fate 5 years ago.

She was kidnapped by Trinity Crown along with Aaron.

Trinity Crown was supposed to kidnap Aurora and Aaron but they mistook her for Aurora.

Later, the misfit gang saved Aaron and her.

Everything changed since then.

If she were to say what kind of life she had before Nameless?

It will be a boring one where she marched onto a path created for her by someone else.

She was like a robot who only followed the common guide of life.

A normal teen struggling with studies with no friends by her side.

Today, she is someone who is walking to a different future than the one created for her.

A future she envisioned by herself.

She has friends by her side, who are her second family to her.

She was no longer a robot without emotions.

Although, she is still struggling with her newfound emotions.

Money, fame, honour, she has everything.

She is free, unrestrained.

"Then why do I feel s*it?" Erisviel muttered out loud.

"Maybe because life is s*it?" Someone said beside her.

Turning to the person Erisviel saw a young woman with long blonde hair and golden amber eyes. She was wearing a white cardigan over a black and white dress with golden-brown frills on top.

Erisviel frowned.

She is not in a mood to talk with someone, let alone flirt with someone.

Even if she wanted to flirt, she has no idea how to.

She has to search on the internet first and pick up some idea about 'How to flirt with someone in a bar' before she flirts with someone.

However, the thought of using the most common pick up lines is a cringe-fest, to begin with.

'What the fu*k am I thinking!' Erisviel thought in her head.

'Flirt? Since when I did I start to think about flirting, instead of coldly turning down others?'

"Leave me alone." Erisviel replied to the woman before turning back to the bar.

"Wow, what a response! So life is s*it. Did work burned you out?" The woman smiled ignoring Erisviel's words.

"Maybe, or maybe not. What is it have to do with you?" Erisviel replied to the woman.

"Hmm, so guarded." The woman raised her eyebrows before turning to the barkeep.

"Long Island iced tea, one for me and one for the beauty beside me. Looks like she needs something heavy to make her worries go away." The woman said to Rav.

"Coming up ladies, wait just a minute!" Rav said to the woman before turning away from the two to make the drinks.

Erisviel rolled her eyes hearing the woman.

"You're trying too hard. There's no fate between you and me, leave me alone! Just go find some other fish, there's plenty of fishes in this pond." Irritated by the woman, Erisviel said to her in a cold tone turning away from her.

The woman pouted before she replied to Erisviel.

"I'm just entertaining myself. Why not play along, might help you release your stress?"

"Are you drunk or not-" The woman stopped after seeing Erisviel glaring at her.

"There are plenty of girls, why me?" Erisviel asked.

Erisviel was surprised!

She doesn't know why she continued after coldly turning her down.

Her question prolonged their interaction and somehow she doesn't mind the woman's presence beside her.

Erisviel frowned and held her head with one of her hands.

"Why you ask? Because you're the only one who catches my eye in here. You're beautiful, do you know that?" The woman honestly complimented Erisviel.

Rav coming back with the drinks, put two cocktails in front of them.

"Here's your order ladies!" Rav said before turning away.

There was a hint of blush on Erisviel's face.

There was an unknown emotion stirring up in her heart, she doesn't know what it is.

Thinking that it must be because of the drink, maybe she is a bit tipsy?

Erisviel ignored her feelings.

"Do you say that to every girl you want to fish? How cliche. But that won't work on me, just give up and go somewhere else." Erisviel said as she took the cocktail before drinking it.

"But I already bought you a drink, why be so cold! Even if I don't get to go anywhere with you, can't we just pass our time talking? There's a tiny bit chance of 'what if' still I'm not betting everything on it. You get to de-stress yourself and I get to flirt until I'm satisfied. Before we part ways, let's just accompany each other till then?" The woman said to Erisviel.

"The drink is free." Erisviel.

"Hmm?" The woman was puzzled by what Erisviel meant.

"The drinks are free, you didn't pay for it." Erisviel said once more.

"Oh! Wait, the drinks are free?" The woman turned to Rav.

"She's the owner of the night club." Rav stated before she went to make a drink for someone else.

The woman widened her eyes in surprise!

"Whoa, you're the biggest fish in the club!" The girl turned to Erisviel and said to her.

Then she realized what she said.

"I'm sorry, haha! Anyway, let me introduce myself to you, Ms Owner. I'm Kathryne, but you can call me Kitty." Kathryne said apologising for what she said and introducing herself to Erisviel.

Erisviel sighed thinking the girl won't leave her alone unless she leaves.

It's not the first time for Erisviel that she encountered someone persistent like Kathryne.

But unlike the previous encounters, Erisviel doesn't deny the fact that Kathryne is beautiful and she feels a bit attracted to her.

Turning to Kathryne, Erisviel gazed into her eyes.

"Alright, then entertain me until I leave for home. I will play along since I'm bored and want to distract myself from work."

Kathryn smiled at Erisviel.

Erisviel seeing that smile on her face was stunned for a moment.

It was at that moment, her heart let someone pass by the walls she put up for others besides the misfits, without her permission.

"You better be worth it!" Erisviel said to her before drinking the cocktail.

"Girl, you won't regret it. I'm worth every second!" Kathryne replied as she sipped her drink.

I'm sorry for the cliff hanger, but it is what it is!

This is one of the biggest changes to the plot.

I wanted to develop Erisviel differently, unfortunately, some things happened and changes had to be made.

I'm making some changes to the plot and researching a bit on future developments.

So I'm taking a break for a few days.

The story will resume on 12 March.

I hope I finish early!!!
