Alisha Chuma (POV)
I watched as Douglas ate his food with gusto and seeing him like that, I cheered, very happy that he was enamored by my food.
It wasn’t something that I do daily to cook, but when I do, I always make sure that I do it right.
Cooking for Anesu wasn’t an obligation. Unless I felt like eating my own food, I never cooked for him at all.
It wasn’t like in the many years we have been together anything happened between us.
We had never been intimate, as I wasn’t literally in him and he wasn’t into women. Sleeping in the same bed and room with a man who would go and bang another man wasn’t something that I would tolerate.
Just because I tolerated him and kept him as my husband for years, didn’t mean that I would forsake my principles and try to act like a virtuous spouse.
Since we both made things clear from the start when we decided to get married, there was no need for us to pretend when we were alone.
