Chapter 47: The pain is only temporary
Leo practically ran down the stairs heading down at almost two at a time.
'Dangerous, yes,' but when he looked back up he could see Max far enough away now that he could almost not make out the pain he had put him in. The paint hat was etched miserably on his handsome face.
Which was good because Leo was already in enough pain and didn't think he could handle those two beautiful eyes staring at him hurting.
"The pain, It's only temporary, soon we won't even be a memory to each other," he said. Just as much for him to hear as for his wishes for Max.

Max stared after Leo in pain and shock. The two warring across his face. He wanted to understand to have it all make sense. But his mind seemed to frantically try and put the puzzle together and once it did. It was like the puzzle was a Picasso because it still didn't make sense.
If he was understanding Leo right. Leo seemed to think Max was in love with Sam but because he couldn't accept those feelings he was chasing after Leo.
