Arec's POV:
When Ella told me someone was trying to kill her, my mind instantly went to one person: my grandmother.
It had been days since I argued with her and insisted on marrying Ella, after the scandalous video surfaced. She hadn't said a word about the issue since then.
Deadly silence from a woman like her was always a cause for concern. Usually, she'd be shouting at me, throwing around threats or ultimatums. But this time? Nothing. And that made me nervous.
Of course, Klaus, Ella's ex, crossed my mind too. He had already tried to tarnish her reputation before, what would stop him from trying something worse?
People like Klaus wouldn't mind getting their hands dirty. But something about the timing felt off. Klaus had been hiding himself since the scandalous video.
My grandmother, though, was another story. If she wanted something done, she'd make sure it was handled.
