The arrival at the labyrinth, the test begins

We arrived at the dead of night, I wanted to go right in but the other 5 were tired, a benefit of being a divine human is that i have to sleep less then them so i volunteered for first watch.

during this time i decided to have a look inside, i didn't go far and i let one of the nearby monsters, which was a spider monster, attack me

not bad, this might be good grinding for them three, and its just a low level spider, i should get out of here before anything happens

I appeared back at camp moments before Alex woke up for his watch

"hey i'm taking over"

"kay, night" i responded

i went to bed and fell asleep although i wasn't tired, waking up the next day.

we ate and checked our resources until we entered

"we'll you three have fun we'll be playing support, this is your test" i said

"so your scared?" Eve said

a spider jumped at her about to bite into her head until SLICE John had sliced it in half using a thin razor-sharp string, his weapon of choice,

"hey those are pretty cool you gotta lemme try em out at some point" I noted

"they're harder to use than they look"

"oh i bet they are, at-least to anyone other than me"

"you really are cocky fine here"

he threw them over to me, i caught them and equipped them

this skill worked differently to swordsmanship and its divine counterpart, while they increase my understanding of swordplay and make me able to spot the errors with my swordsmanship this skill instead seems to give me muscle memory while i am in contact with a weapon so while I don't understand what I'm doing it's as if my body has been doing it my whole life almost second-nature, this muscle memory however disappears the second a weapon leaves my hand.

I began to move my fingers as if I was a puppeteer, i tested it on a nearby spider-monster and sliced it into 4 separate pieces in one go...

"Wha- I, it took my years of practice and in one second he surpassed me"

"don't feel like that its due to a skill effect" Sam commented

"i prefer my sword" i added

"where is your sword by the way" Eve asked "you don't seem to carry it with you"

My armour, the chivalrous monster set, appeared on my body, this armour had a defensive power of 200 reducing damage significantly, boosted my physical stats by 100 and had an active ability that, when wearing the full set, allowed me to multiply my speed considerably for a short period.

we spent the rest of the day travelling forward, the new guys as i had deemed them had taken the centre stage they passed with flying colours and are now much stronger than when we entered, at the end of the day we arrived at the boss room, what sat there was a massive door the size of at least 50 of each of us all stacked on top of each other.

"monsters wont approach here, the boss's presence will keep them away so, we should rest to fight tomorrow"
