DIVINE FLAMES!!, The power of 'That'

"I'm gonna have to do that" I said a fierce glint in my eyes

"A-are you sure you can contain it afterwords" Sam replied a hint of concern in her voice

"I'm always sure" i said trying to mask my own concern

I took a deep breath

"Divine flames, blazing bright, ignite the heavens, pierce the night! Amaterasu's fury, heed my call, burn and purify, engulf them all... INFERNOOOOOO!!!!!"

A tornado of flames erupted below the bosses eigh-- no now nine legs. As it was engulfed everyone around noticed that this whirlwind of flames was growing, bigger and bigger as the flames got more intense, even from within the barrier the heat was becoming hard to withstand and as the boss screamed out in pain a small smile appeared on my face...

"This is a Kon original, now die like the damn bug you are" I shouted

"GGRRAAAGGGHHHH!!!" the spider winced in pain, its healing being outpaced by my spell, this spell called inferno uses a complex combination of fire and wind magic along with the natural ability for mana to absorb more mana... basically its a self sufficient infinite flame that very few could extinguish, of course I left a weakness in the spell so that I could contain it after all I am a genius... a smug one at that, and finally less than 10 seconds later the spider has died...

"If that thing had any offensive power we probably would have lost that" I said "using inferno always makes me feel sick"

"yeah no duh... its high level magic and advanced melded magic what'd you expect" Sam scolded me

"y'know, no matter how many times i see that i don't think ill ever not be afraid you might have messed up..." Alex added

and that it, our first mission over, honestly it kinda felt anti-climatic but maybe that's for the best... besides with whats to come i'm happy it felt that way...
