Earthly Guardian was a personal favorite for Mon. It had the perfect story in terms of his taste! A fiction filled to the brim with content, flavoring his monotonous life. Though on one special day, Fiction and reality became harder to point out.

Chapter 10: Settling down?

" We're here " Jaime stands up from the seat as he exits the jeep.

" Sense, The Guardian Academy. "

This looks insane…

If you're comparing this to my common sense, that's like 20 massive malls interconnected with each other. It's so massive it's looking like an entire town.

" Haha. I see you're quite fond of your new home Mr. Mon. " Ms. Ging exits the massive truck she was in with a proud smile on her face. You'd think this was her school if I was an actual Wanderer.

" I'm sure Mr. Jaime told you about the general idea but you are enrolled on Sense," Ms. Ging says as she hands me a document.

Written on the document is...

" Congratulations! Mr. Mon Weise

We are excited to tell you that you have been admitted to Sense Academy where you shall build your own future! "

There were some more words beneath that but that was enough to tell me I'd succeeded in my first step.

" Well, congrats Mr. Mon... but as classes are going to start two days from now, You won't be able to take the practical exam to see what class you'd be in. " Ms. Ging informs me.

Then how would I know what class I'd be in? Isn't that bad?

My knowledge revolves around Class 1A. It's where the center of the plot occurs. I planned on using some martial arts I've learned in the real world to somehow nudge myself into Class 1A, but it seems like it'll all just be up to luck.

Shit...

I'm a weak man, I know that for sure. I do not plan on standing out at all at the start of the story. I planned on making connections with the main characters first before doing anything stupid so that I would have some protection and whatnot, but If it turns for the worse which is highly likely, I might have to rely on myself in this scenario.

I won't be able to use my knowledge at all. I'll have to push my plans a little bit ahead, if I want to survive in a class I have no idea about.

" Don't worry though Mr. Mon, There has been no record of a first-year student managing to kill a Grand Inter yet, so I'm sure that'll give a lot of head start. " Ms. Ging says implying that my enrollment now relies on my achievements. And yeah... it sounds like a wild resume, but my achievements and skill make it more imply on luck than strength.

" Uhhh, It's fine Ms. Ging. I don't even know the difference between 1A and other classes. I'm just happy, I get to learn. " I say with a casual expression like bullshit didn't just come out of my mouth.

" That's great. But anyways, let's head in Mr. Mon. "

I followed Ms. Ging and the others inside Sense where there were new sights with every step you take. It was a very prestigious school that looked like it was one of those royalty-only schools you read about in stories, but it was mixed with modern designs. You'd see a very modern building here, and a hedge park in front of it. It's like a rich man who decided to make a noble mansion.

" Arena ", " Laboratories " , " Training Center ", " Lesson Hall ". The buildings had their own label, just showing the sheer size of this place. An entire building the same size as a mall was separate departments of a single school. One of these is enough to fit all of those departments and still be one of the biggest schools I've ever seen.

As school still haven't started yet, there were almost no people around. Well, it feels that way but I'm sure there are more people here than in any other place nearby.

This is just too wide and massive, that it seems like there's almost no one here.

" Alright, this is your dorms Mr.Mon. You will be living here for the next 4 years in Sense. " We arrived in front of a building with the sign, [Tiger I] in front of it. Though it seems quite fierce and strong for a simple dormitory name. This is the weakest dorm here.

It goes from Tiger, Ogre, Leviathan, then Dragon. Which goes depending on the rank you got compared to your fellow year levels. The I is just the roman numeral that indicates seniority, meaning it goes all the way to IV.

Well, it's not like I care, as I do deserve to be here right now. As a powerless Wanderer, staying lowkey is what should matter the most when you're still looking for strength. Well, I wasn't in the place to be lowkey considering how I got into Sense was killing a Grand Inter while being a Wanderer. I'll be the talk of the school and I can't say it'll be for the best. That was why I want to attend Class 1A. So that I could hide in the backs of the strong, still while having value as someone who knows a lot.

Two days... I should probably do it now... Look for that thing.

I walked in while Ms. Ging and the others waited for me in the lobby. This building is incredibly massive that the students don't even need to share rooms. It's crazy when you realize that this is the smallest dorm out of the bunch out there.

Room 307…

This isn't bad at all…

This is like a high-end hotel room on like floor 50 plus when you compare it to Earth. Damn… It is the stronghold of humanity and the reason why we're still persevering in these trying times, so the funding it was receiving is an incredible amount.

Well, that's about it. It's not like I have anything to do here, as I didn't really have anything with me. I guess the spare clothes I received from the medics, but the wardrobe is just filled with the school uniform. I'm alright for now, as I'll be wearing those almost every day. I'm sure I'll get sick of it.

Without anything else to do, I went out of my room and met the others in the lobby.

" Alright let's go to the dean's office. You're a special case Mr. Mon. A Wanderer on Sense is not only a first time for everyone but probably the weirdest one for everyone as well. There are a lot of complications that come with it. " Ms. Ging sighs as she still seems unconvinced about my enrollment on Sense.

" Oh the GRC, decided to give you the cash reward as well, as it was relatively easy to enroll you on Sense. Besides, I'm sure you'll need them as even though Sense provides daily necessities, a few things might interest you in your journey of becoming a doctor. "

She is quite convinced about me being a doctor huh… Even though it was just an excuse to attend Sense.

" Thank you Ms. Ging. I'll make sure to leave good wor- " As I started to feel happy about the great news, a young man with blonde hair walks past me. He had piercings on his ears and he was wearing some loose clothes. He had quite the sharp eyes and fierce stare, that you'd know what this guy is just by a single look. "

" Yo Reign, could you please help me get that Mana collection tool? " He was walking with a few other boys. They seem like great friends, but knowing who the blonde man is, those are just leeches.

Reign Hart, the heir of a famous guild known for producing strong Guardians. He was the only child of the head, but he was immensely average. He had average talent in every aspect of his ability, causing him to form an inferiority complex. He is a weak man yet he's a side character who has quite a nasty personality.

Though, as he grows up to learn about his high position in society, he started to succumb to the feeling of having power and strength. He became a local bully. He was rough with his words and is typically against the main character due to his immense jealousy of his strength.

He was the typical young master bully you'd find in every story, but he didn't stay that way for long. When he accidentally found a pile of treasure together with the Main Character during a small scuffle, he managed to find an artifact that changed his life forever. The Artifact of Imitation.

An artifact that enables the user to copy a portion of a beast's strength. A man could steal the wings of a wyvern and soar through the skies, he could steal the phoenix's ability of rebirth and many other insane feats that a human could only imagine.

And Reign realized that potential…

Using said artifact, he used his immense authority to copy the strength of a young Noble class dragon. But due to the immense mana contained in the blood of a dragon, his mind was overloaded and unfortunately became corrupted. The young master turned for the worst and became the first villain in Earthly Guardian.

But that exact villain is standing in front of me. Should I save a life and make a good connection? Save a life and steal an opportunity...

The thing that I need to get...

The best card I can use to survive a place I have no clue about. The Artifact of Imitation.
