A Friend

At sunrise, we hop in the Humvees and drove full speed towards Wanlawayn Air Strip, together with Captain Hassani's men. On our way, to the airstrip, we encounter no resistance, except the sand all around us and tire trails left by the running Al-Abdukadir forces.

"Once we capture the bastard, he'll pay for what he's done."~Captain Hassani.

I'm not sure who, the captain talks about.

"Whom are you talking about, captain?"~Gaz.

"General Aduywi Abdukadir is the leader of Al-Abdukadir. For years, he caused great suffering, destruction, and death to my people. So he has to pay!"~Captain Hassani.

I have never seen Cpt. Hassani was like that before, but not till now. I guess, this Aduywi guy, is a real deal.

"Haa Aduywi Abdukadir, he is wanted on charges of targeted killing, drug trafficking, and terrorism.~Gaz.

"Wait, he's here? We try to find that bastard to no avail."~Ajax.

"Well, now we are going there, and saying hello."~Captain Hassani.

"This Echo 0-1, you guys about to approach the airstrip, don't worry I got eyes on them."~ Lt.C. Harris.

"What's their status?"~Gaz.

"They're currently packing, and in a hurry. Most probably, want to get out of here as quickly as possible, I can order a drone strike if you want to."~Lt.C. Harris.

"What's the call, Captain?'~Gaz.

"Bomb it."~Captain Hassani.

"Lieutenant, you are clear to go."~Gaz.

"My pleasure, gentlemen."~Lt.C. Harris.

The bombing of the airstrip immediately commenced. I hear multiple explosions at once at the airstrip and black smoke arises after the blast. Now this is majestic I thought, the power of Osiris Corp has unleashed upon this airstrip.

After the explosion and bombing settled, we rush in full speed ramming the entrance gate with our Humvees. 50cal MGs mounted on top of the humvees started blasting at the Al-Abdukadir men, mowing them down. We the other Somalian soldiers dismounted from the Humvees and started to tactically clear our way to multiple sets of barracks to the north, east, south, and west of the runway, luckily the airfield has a single runway that is labeled as 04/22 that presently measures 10,500 feet long.

"Last barracks on the south runway."~Gaz.

"Good, I'm tired of running."~Jackson.

"We haven't found him, yet Captain."~Ajax.

"He's here, I can feel it!"~Captain Hassani.

We made it to the barracks, well I wouldn't call it a barracks but a building. It has eight floors! Can't believe we have to get up the stairs, my leg is killing me. As we about stack at the entrance door of the building, some bastard throws a grenade from above us, the grenade explodes, and I almost got hit by shrapnel in the right eye, luckily it missed and grazes off my face.

"Fucking cucks!"~Gaz.

"Everyone ok?"~Captain Hassani.

"The windows! The guy just threw a grenade at us."~Ajax.

"Sir, our Humvee is here."~Somalian Soldier.

"Good, watch over us."~Captain Hassani.

The Humvee guys supported us by watching the windows as we are about to breach in. We then double stack at the entrance of the building door again, along with, Captain Hassani himself and his men.

"Ready Jackson?"~Ajax.

With two flashbangs in hand, Ajax kicked the door, I then immediately threw both of them in. After the flashbangs went off we move in swiftly eliminating multiple hostiles.

"Split the stack right side, left side."~Gaz.

"Stairs in front."~Ajax.

After we clear out the bottom level, we slowly and cautiously move up the stairs to the first floor.

"Looks like the stairs leading up to the eighth floor."~Gaz.

"My men will cover every floor, as we go up.'~Captain Hassani.

"Understood, captain."~Gaz.

Once we made it up to the eighth floor, it's only four of us. I could hear firefights below us as Captain Hassani's men clearing out the whole floor while making sure no enemy followed us up.

We flashbang and eliminate multiple enemies, room by room. This building has the most enemies in it.

"We should have bomb this building on the ground, now I regret it."~Gaz.

"No, no need for that we must bring this man to justice! Bombing him would be too kind."~Captain Hassani.

"If he's here that is. If he is not here it would be a waste of energy and manpower to clear the building."~Ajax.

"We made it this far Ajax, Just trust the Captain."~Gaz.

"If I am wrong, I'm sorry."~Captain Hassani.

"No no, you don't have to be sorry, Captain, it's our duty to serve our clients, right Ajax?"~Gaz.

"Affirmative, Gaz, I'm just exhausted that's all."~Ajax.

"Aren't we all?"~Jackson.

We finally clear the whole floor, except for one final door. With my mag almost out, and the exhaustion I am currently feeling.

"The final door, let's see what this room has to offer us."~Gaz.

Gaz immediately kicks the door open.

"Holy shit!"~Ajax.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot!"~Gaz.

It's the man. General Aduywi Abdukadir. He straps himself with a bomb vest and a remote in hand, which, I think it's a detonator.

"Don't step forward or I blow myself, bringing you and the whole building with me."~ General Aduywi Abdukadir.

We lower our weapons so we avoid pointing our barrels at him. God, this is terrifying, my heart starts to beat faster and faster. Is this my end? I thought to myself.

"Okay, okay we can negotiate this, in a civilized manner."~Gaz.

"HAHAHAH! Civilized?! You western corporate pigs killed my sons with drone strikes. You corporate pigs come here to destroy everything, the same as the Americans bringing your devilish beliefs. Now I have nothing to lose, I will bring you all with me!"~ General Aduywi Abdukadir.

Without hesitation, Captain Hassani rushes at him.

"Captain, what are you doing!!??"~Gaz.

Suddenly a huge explosion erupted. My vision blurs, my ears ring, and the building shakes, I thought to myself is the building going to collapse? I'm I going to die? My ears are hurting so bad. I think raptured my eardrums.

"Jackson! Jackson!"~Ajax.

"Yeah?"~Jackson.

"You boys, all right?~Gaz.

"What the hell just happen?!"~Ajax.

"I think, Captain Hassani push the guy and himself out of a window to save us."~Gaz.

"Wait, what do you mean?"~Ajax.

I just couldn't believe it, Captain Hassani didn't even say anything, he just does it. I don't know what to say. I am probably still in shock. I look over the window, the sun is still up, and shattered glass is everywhere, I still could accept what just happened, did we just lose someone, a friend that is?
